If thats the case. You will definitely have to either sit IELTS or TOEFL to meet the english requirement.
One of the Monash counsellors even recommended my friend to sit for Pearson English Test since it takes only 5 days to receive the results compare to IELTS(15days).

You can apply for Monash prior sitting for these english test, as I recalled correctly, in the application form, you have to state when will you be sitting for those English test.

That's what I heard, but when I asked Monash Msia about this, they told me it's not required..However I'm afraid without it my MBBS cert would be useless sad.gif

From what i heard , it's an extra requirements from the govt. not from monash australia.
hence it will be given a separate certificate and the marks will be not along with the mbbs.

Again , my earlier impression was international students will just have to sit for the classes and learn about it with not much emphasis on exams, since mostly they just end up passing through, ie go to musc, get their degree and move on to another country.

I could still be dead wrong .

i can't blame them alakanbunny.
if u look at us, u've got at least 2-3 subjects which are compulsory about us history, us politics and the state you'll be studing it.
also medical or science students have to take physiology , social studies etc which really doesn't benifit them. unless they're majoring in it.

Most colleges and universities (Monash esp) told me that it is not compulsory. However, I don't mind undertaking GS if it's required by the government in order to get my MBBS 'recognised'. I'm already used to the same thing in SPM.

Still confused tho...

Don't worry you can take it at anytime through out your course as long as you do it before you graduate (assuming its compulsory)

hi..
i applied for the bachelor of engineering (honours) code 4632 and its being assessed atm..

but when i logged in to check again, i think they update another course for me thats bachelor of engineering code 0032 and its being assessed as well..

does this mean i have a big chance in getting single unit enrollment like certain people here or get rejected? cry.gif

just noticed something today at embassy, there's a finger print and eye scanner for all incoming non-nationals to malaysia? apparently it's been in effect since 2011 may.
