normally its like this

A studying Chemical Engineering , B studying Mechanical Engineering , C studying Civil Engineering

A B C first semester normally will have same common subjects....after that their units will be quite different

different schools will have different common subjects

some failed, some left cause of the fear of failing.. imagine getting few sems of just pass, they would get phobia
this is very very irresponsible, on her part or the school manager's...  vmad.gif  mad.gif  make a complain straight to the vc
well, from what i see, monash dont really have top lecturers.. the only few that can keep my interest is dr.lan and dr. edwin tan from school of engineering.. others are too dull

i had attended classes from other schools and was totally amazed at how interesting they can make the subject to be..

from my observation..

if u r engineering, u expect it to be tough and it will be within your expectation...

for buss ppl thought it is easier, yes, easier to pass but not to do well coz a lot of smarty pants also so expectation gap widen...

the worse is comp sc and mass comm, thinking it will be smooth riding, but a lot of newbies will have the shock of their lives, not too sure because they arent that bright or is the expectation gap is very high

business is tough too, not as bad as eng/comp sc whereby failures are high... it is difficult to score for buss modules

well i survived, with very intensive last minute revising might work up to a D,on the condition throughout the sem you at least know what is going on in each and every topics. if you are totally clueless then there is no guarantee this will work out for you.

BTW Bravo are you new(as in planning to enter Monash,or just started Monash)?seems that you are still thinking about a lot of things, from all these questions that you asked in this thread
