best if you go, cuz if u dont meet ppl early its gonna be harder later since ppl will find their social group and its harder to meld in

Gosh, if only people could take their time and read properly.

I said Monash is giving out iPads to those joining their upcoming WORKSHOPS. And they are not easily giving it out...have to go through some competition or something, but you get my idea, a uni like Monash has to resort to give away freebies to attract attention.

i thought that was obvious tongue.gif

Hey does anyone know about the Buddy-Buddee thing? The one where you help out on orientation day. Or is it too late to sign up?

Friday is the Monopoly event, which is indeed a social event. It starts at 8am tongue.gif

However there is another event called Mid-Week Mingle when new students come to make friends with seniors and fellow new students. It is held on the first 2 Wednesdays of the semester i.e. next Wednesday and the Wednesday after that. from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. There is free food tongue.gif

I encourage new students to join lol cuz its very good to make new friends and create your network as after the first few weeks, it will be more difficult to make friends...

Anyone knows what should I be enrolling for the first and second semester?
Should I take Physics or Chemistry OR Process System Analysis or Engineering Materials.
I kinda hate Chemistry or I just prefer Physics over it. Not sure what kinda engineering should I be applying though. Either Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical.
Lookin' forward to prompt reply. Just noticed my entourage never mentioned anything about allocating classes. DAMN. Thanks in advance.
*
Hmm well you NEED Chemistry if you are going to do Chemical Engineering and Process, Systems and Analysis (PSA) is recommended for Chemical Engineering...

So basically if you're going to do Chem Eng then I recommend you do Chemistry and PSA. However since you are still split between Chem, Mech and EE you should ask the Engineering Office whether or not you can change your units.

However I knew some people who are doing Mech and EE did PSA so it should be ok

Any seniors selling 'engineering your futere,an Australian guide' ? 2nd hand one. If got pm me leh. I see no point for getting a new book.
*
lol I don't recommend buying this book...It is quite useless. If you need to read sections of the book as prescribed by the lecturer, then its better to just go to the library and find it there. You don't even need to read the parts the lecturer asks you to read as I remember it wasn't anything useful. But if you really want to, feel free to get the book tongue.gif

I literally didn't listen in lecture, and studied off powerpoint slides 3 days before the exam and I got D so yeah tongue.gif

I think for the futsal/basketball court situation, you should be able to get an answer from the Welfare Office at the MUSA lounge? Since i think they are sort of in charge of the courts and all?
