Anyone of you sent in your sgs2 for warranty claim at samsung? If yes how was the service? I'm worried they would do more damage than remedy the issue lol...

I'm sending it for warranty due to the ear speaker having symptoms like it's blown randomly when calling/receiving calls.

(there's so many stock roms in the forums. do you guys know which one to flash if really need be?)

I notice the file's .exe
my previous 2.3.4 was in rar and I had to unzip to get to the 3 .tar lol.. i'll have to figure out what to do with this .exe when it finishes downloading.

@xavier7

Why do you need to go to the Care Centre, anything wrong with ur phone?
*
haha waveweaver... I'm one of the "lucky" ones that got a faulty unit I guess... my front ear-speaker feels like its blown sometimes when I call out or receive a call. I can hear loud buzzing going on, as if the speaker's really loose or vibrating very violently.

probably not signal issue as I was on the road in puchong town, and a land line called me, and it had that problem too.

There's no need to push him. Some ppl are afraid to try a new thing. Thats okay with me.

What make me agree to help him is because of his honesty to admit that he is not that good about all this rooting thing.

I admire ppl who know their limit of knowledge and not trying to go over it. Much better that way rather than try it himself and then accidently do wrong and brick his new phone. Though i wonder SGSII can bricked easily.

Maybe i'll guide him to do the on job rooting. That way is much easier to understand rather than reading all the step one by one but cant remember anything ~~lol~~

exactly.
what saved me a lot of headache is I didn't root first in the first few weeks, otherwise I will be scouring xda forums tonight till dunno what hour in the night trying to revert back to stock ROM with stock recovery, along with the usb jig and stuff like that, just cuz of a hardware issue and I need to get warranty for it.

everybody deserves his own sweet time with his new "uninitiated" phone to get a feel of it all.

(I didn't root my nexus one straightaway too, not until I've played it all and felt that, yeah its time to get on the next level.)
