anyone on darky xxkg2 already? looking to flash this rom next~!

just flashed dark xxkg2 deodexed rom. phone is a lot more snappy compared to villain 2.0. the rom is clean and i opt not to install any samsung apps.

One note though, after flashing the rom, it is not rooted, i flashed cf root 4.1 kg1 to root it. Currently am using titanium backup to restore all my apps.

cm7 will be next on my list, will test out dark for a few days at least.

that one is untested, kg1 will work fine because it is for 2.3.4

u guys should give darky a try, his rom is plenty fast~! =) and stable so far with tegrak undevolting.

that's the way i like it bro, haha virgin rom~! caused somehow unless well implemented, all the other features slow down the phone a little. That's why some people prefer to flashed official firmware released.

Anyways just got my USB jig from derek and i just cleared my flash counter and no more exclamation mark logo~!

this is all subjective and based on my own observation, but if you want concrete proof i don't know to to benchmark all these snappiness hahaha . In automotive term we called it butt dyno~! haha

like for instance after using villain 2.0 for a week, the scrolling just isn't fast and sometimes it lags for .2 of a second or something like that. I've only used darky for less than a day, but i'll be reporting after a week and see whether it is still that snappy to use.

You mean you have tried darky rom already?

.2 is just an example la bro, haha of course i cannot really determine how much it lags, cuz i definitely wouldn't call it 1 sec lag. haha, but your eyes can see but cannot measure what, when u are scrolling on launcher, sometimes it will stutter very shortly. anyways in general sgs2 is the best phone out there now in terms of speed, but of course we are always looking to improve on that.

u can choose either from odexed or deodexed. No hybrids for darky. His rom are not rooted. so you have to root them after flashing.

ventri you are right, evne with juice defender on darky rom sucks the battery like no tomorrow.

so what rom are you using now?

is your phone rooted? if it is use market enabler to fake the carrier to US. then you should not have any trouble.
