There's no need to push him. Some ppl are afraid to try a new thing. Thats okay with me.

What make me agree to help him is because of his honesty to admit that he is not that good about all this rooting thing.

I admire ppl who know their limit of knowledge and not trying to go over it. Much better that way rather than try it himself and then accidently do wrong and brick his new phone. Though i wonder SGSII can bricked easily.

Maybe i'll guide him to do the on job rooting. That way is much easier to understand rather than reading all the step one by one but cant remember anything ~~lol~~
*
i agree with you, it IS a 2k phone, nobody wanna screw up and messed up, no matter how many guides i read and tutorial i saw, i'm still nervous the first time i root and the second time and third time...now no feeling ad lol. sgs2 can only be bricked if u flash a .pit without knowing shit, other than that i doubt it will brick. flashed a rom halfway pull still ok, 3/4 pull still ok, this phone reli hard to brick rclxms.gif

i noticed...
#1 we can't set wallpaper to single colour like just plain black.
#2 most lifve wallpaper is really live. more like just animated. anyone found any good and real live wallpapers that is also interactive?

congrats!

there is a live wallpaper called android something, just go to market and search for live wallpapers, there's tons of it, that wallpaper allows you to move the android using the sensors, it will fall based on gravity, shaking, or u shout at it it will also move, very interactive of coz, ur battery will also be very interactive biggrin.gif

No ppl using CM7 ROM?
*
used cm7 since the first day it came out that morning, i have to say this rom is really still incomplete, tons of things is not working, but for some reason i'm still using it, battery life is not very good in my opinion, so be prepared, you'll need lots of settings to set and also lots of things to fix, you cant just use titanium backup pro to restore all your past apps, some of it will ruin the system, some wont work, i had to download the google apps, get a new task manager, use es file explorer instead, register for the swype beta to get my swype back, cant install the tegrak overclock, luckily it doesnt affects the launchers, only things using the twlauncher framework will not work. therefore unless you have alot brainpower i suggest you wait till a stable build. do check the cm7 thread as there is a list of bugs and things that are not working

it has been 7 minutes for the phone to charge and maintain at 5%... i am using the "battery life apps"
*
disable the battery life apps, if you have ur phone rooted its best to delete the battery stats, you can do it thru cwm or dl a free app called battery calibration

Hi guys. I have a question hope you guys can help me answer.

I installed Exynos Extreme 3.4 in previous 3.3 version my Tegrak is worknig fine. Now in this new version, it says my device is not supported. Did I do anything wrong?

How can I get it worknig back? Uninstalling doesn't seem to work.

*p/s while waiting, I am actually wiping cache and dalvik and hoping some miracle will happen.

So please advise guys! sad.gif
*
u can also try using titanium backup, select tegrak and 'wipe data'. other than that, the only possibility that i know is your kernal is not supported. when you flash another rom, chances are that tegrak will not work.

tegrak will only support kernals that are as close as stock kernals, so only stock kernals or cf-root kernals work. even my current cm7 kernal wouldnt work sad.gif

edit: damn eiraku beat me to it laugh.gif

Flash KE4/KF2/KG1 modem. Problem should go away.

@john: Read the above. Also, you're on stock ROM right? If not check your kernel. Speedmod has wifi issues. Nymph seems fine on KF2.

Hi guys. I have one question it might sounds stupid but I want to know how can I know if my SGS2 has dual core processor? I mean in the phone cant find any hardware info that indicate that this phone has dual core. even I have installed all the benchmark tools and non of them shows it has dual core processor. it only show the 1200mhz and thats it.
where can see that?
*
install cf benchmark so far i only remember seeing 2 cores in that app

whats de difference between ondemand and performance mode? it automatically change the setting?
*
4444 not a good number laugh.gif
i'm not sure about the settings, but i read in nephatine's kernal thread first post says that using quadrant, the cpu will go up in steps, meaning ur processor wont start at 1.5ghz but slowly goes up, which means 'on demand' while setting on performance will maintain it at a higher clock rate from the very beginning, maybe 1.5ghz i believe, someone correct me if i'm wrong~

I hv been using without SP for few weeks, whereby only applied the SP yesterday.
On top of thumb print & dusts, with SP, it is little bit hard to sweep coz there is rubber feel where it stop the gesture

that's the glue, after awhile it will disappear
