With the new unifi internet at home, i cant seem to get a nice stable connection via wifi like i used to get. i've search the whole world for a solution but cant find any. i've switch the unifi router to b/g mode, made static/non-static ip in my sgs2 but nth seems to work..

QUOTE(gzero @ Jul 20 2011, 10:41 PM) Download a free software called "Connectify" http://www.connectify.me/. You plug a LAN cable (with internet connection to your laptop), run Connectify and it'll turn your Wifi into hotspot so your SGS can connect to your laptop to use the internet yea i've downloaded that software from some other forum. problem for me is that the router is downstairs while im always upstairs.. anyway you know if i could connect my laptop via wifi and tether to my android via usb ? ps: forgot to add: my android cant connect to unifi.. hence i need something.. QUOTE(gzero @ Jul 20 2011, 10:51 PM) Have you tried going to Settings -> Wireless & Network -> Tethering and portable hotspot -> USB Tethering (Check) ? I haven't use the USB tethering before but maybe this is a good place to start. Also, i dont really understand, if you can connect your laptop to wifi, then your SGS must be within the same wifi range right? Why you need USB tether when you can connect directly to the wifi router? that is to allow the PC to use the phone's connection. i need my phone to use my PC's connection, hence 'reverse'-tethering. @kayama if you manage to find any form of solution to this headache problem do inform me yea.. i've been searching high and low for a 'software' solution This post has been edited by andrewL: Jul 20 2011, 10:58 PM
