My mum is driving this. Good fuel consumption as it is a SOHC engine. Noisy engine and average soundproofing. Reliable, no parts were change until now other than the usual wear and tear parts. Suspension tuned more to comfort(for a honda)... but i find that it's bouncy at the rear at certain speed.

-differest between 2002/03 version and 2004/05(facelift) version???
Answer: Quite a bit of difference in terms of design and the facelift version has a 2.0 DOHC iVTEC option

-easy to find spare parts???
Answer: All over the place, just as common as your Waja

-fuel consumption???
Answer: Waja 1.6 consumption is one of the worst around and I'm very sure a Civic 1.7/2.0 won't be higher than it

-any minor & major problem???
Answer: No car is perfect but overall, Honda makes better car compared to Proton

-nice to ride??? ( now driving 1st gen P.Waja) handling n power better compare to my waja???
Answer: Waja has pretty good handling to be honest but the Civic will not lose out a lot either. In terms of power, Waja is no match

I am a previous Waja owner, driven the Civic 1.7 before and used to own an Accord 2.4 smile.gif Believe me, Accord 2.4 consumption is more or less like the Waja, only slightly more.

Was previously hunting for 1.7 ES. My main concer bout prefacelift is some dun hv VTEC (though d VTEC is also SOHC), n passenger airbag

D rest is more of cosmetics n accesories.

Tested quite a few n found many require bush replacement (typically Honda).

Better get the facelifted version (>04, VTi-S). To name a few, it got rear anti-roll bar, rear disk brake and better gear ratio.

Bear in mind civic from those years still use timing belt and replacement is not cheap.
