I'd like to know, ipad 2 without adobe flash 10.2 meaning which software do we use to view youtube videos(cannot play flash games as well right?)? and what about java?

No HDMI port meaning cannot connect to tv right?

I know apple has more applications(around 500,000) but android has a lot too(250,000 apps) as we don't use all the applications.

I recommended SGT 10.1 if u ask me among this 2, the benefit i think you have mention urself so i don need to say anything, myself have Ipad 1 and Asus Eeepad Transformer with keyboard docking, for me it (Asus Transformer) is excellence and i have nothing to complain compare to my Ipad 1,it is becos it can support 2x USB port with extra battery on the keyboard itself, not to say it has an extra SD Card slot on the keyboard too (I can anytime sent or view my DSLR pic by using the SD card slot)....and the USB do surprise me too that it can support my 1TB 3.5" external HDD....now a lot of my friend and colleague that plan to buy the Ipad 2 earlier now turn to Asus Transformer....lol

you're asking in an ipad thread. you should know what would be the answer.

for all the limitations that you have mentioned, are not limitation once you start using one.

no problem playing youtube videos even in safari and skyfire browser. plus ipad2 has tv out capability. just buy that cable. adobe flash is nothing when html5 is supported.

Yeap, i came here coz its ipad's thread. So people here would actually tell me why i should choose ipad2 over android tablets. I posted the same thing at android subforum as well.

Since you're asking in this iPad forum, of course most of forumer here will suggest you to get an iPad. To be fair, go out and try these two differ platform tablets and see which one suits you more rather than comparing the features or asking around. Both have it's pros and cons and it's really depends on individual requirement, since price is not a problem then you might wanna think of getting both of it...

i dont think sgt10 can get RM1499

HTML5 is intended to replace flash, but flash has been around for a very long time(more than 10 years). So light application, html5 still ok, but heavy u'll need flash.

i have come to this question before, actually u need to know what is your purpose of purchasing tablet...
looking at specs, i think SGT had more advantages compared to Ipad.... Ipad camera is a less than 1 megapixel, no external memory slot, etc2...
I'm not very familiar with Android, but iOS is very much stable, you can have many opened apps and the ipad still give u wonders...
i think the best thing in ipad is the applications, especially apps in HD, extraordinary graphic and a lot of usefullness for every type of ppl....
i chose ipad because i want to share with my kids the best education aid tools with thousand of apps to make them enjoy the process of learning... as well as for me to play games sometimes
so back to the 1st q, what is your purpose....

I'm not really much into gaming(maybe some minor games). But i enjoy facebook-ing and streaming youtubes a alot. I"m the type who goes out a lot. Frequent web browsing is in my mind as well. And a little presentation maybe?

Can iWork read microsoft excel, powerpoints?

If i upload videos into youtube using ipad2, can those with flash(windows or android) view my videos?

I would get 8.9 cos it's smaller and give to the wife.

flash game are still not smooth on tablets with 1GHz processor ...
maybe HTC flyer is more smooth if u want to run flash game but only 7" available ...
have you try android platform before ? if not then go try it out then compare it....for some reason i do prefer android ... but do remember that SGT battery life is way lower...do look into Asus Transformer and Acer Iconia too....

I have tested Acer Iconia, Asus Transformer, HTC Flyer and Motorola Xoom, at last I chose iPad 2. I found the iPad price is cheaper if compare to HTC and Motorola, second, iOS is much stable OS for mobile device, tested the android, and I managed to make it hanged and have to restart, while iOS, can't even have to chance to slow it down, it just so smooth and responsive, very suitable for education and business purpose. But if you like to play with the tweak, flash ROM, then Andriod will be your only choice.

I want one with with 3g plan, have to wait them coming out with 3g plan.

Galaxy tab 10.1 got two version...which version are u talking about? What purpose u want to with ur tablet? Play flash game? Or play real game? What apps u want to use?

should try both. one dual core and single core cant really compare.
