Fuh..... Very best game

1st half USA control game kaw2 and Morgan get to score by defender flaw.
Then USA kapten make flaw allowing Japan come back

Then extra time USA Wambach score... but 4 minutes from time Japan's Sawa score one of the most beautiful goal of 2011!

At the death of extra time Japan defender make kamikaze red card in front goal try to stop USA wonderful through ball pass. The red card payed off nicely like Suarez hand of god 2 last year nod.gif The free kick didn't go in in dying minutes! Then....

Penalti... keeper Japan notworthy.gif notworthy.gif notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

This game so thrilling mang. Any kind of great comeback game always entertaining smile.gif

Go download the highlights seriously.

So much tension in the game especially the final 30 mins extra time

I never actually thought women football was so interesting but this will be a new start to it after all laugh.gif

To be honest, there are much more thrill than the 2010 world cup final sweat.gif

to think that before the world cup, the Japan womens team never win against European opponents.

but now they have beaten host Germany, Sweden and the USA no less to win the FIFA World Cup.

just look at difference in size of them. a cinderalla story of an epic proportion. respect.

hope this will trigger an uprising in the mens department as well..

Asia for ASIA..... no need to respect sgt mat salleh tu..

I watched the Women's WC finals between China & US which also ended in PKs. IMO the US goalie cheated (by moving forward flagrantly) in making a save. Replay show that she did cheat. The kick should have been retaken by the Chinese player.

The Chinese Team played with flair, determination and were sportswomanlike throughout the '99 tournament and would have been a deservedly WC winner. I was surprised that the Chinese team did not qualify over Japan or the lightning strike Korean team this time around.

The Japanese team are deserved WC champions. They did not cheat, dive, stonewall, playact or whatever that ails our sports. They were total consummate sports figures. Kudos to them.
