Not much option in 17'', Dell Vostro 3750 is the available one in your budget, but no Core i7..
or Sager NP5175..

hmm.gif if that the case, i think better processor is priority than a big screen.
so any core 1.7 with 15inch screen that good in ur mind?? or core 1.7 with 17inch screen for 4-5k budget. thanks

Go for Dell XPS 15 with FullHD screen upgrade, this one should be the best option  laugh.gif
Dell XPS 15, i7-2630QM + Nvidia GT540M@RM3699 [JBL], upgradeable to FullHD, backlit keyboard customizable
Use the remaining money to extend warranty to 3 years~

Anyway, can try getting from this guy: http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=1991472&hl=

Well, do you want to spend almost RM5K ? laugh.gif

if i have to, probably 4.5-4-6k is max. i do lots of video editing n i found 13" laptop that i have right now is too small to see d visual tongue.gif .
n also i need laptop than can play my editing footage realtime. so it be great if i can have both big screen and speed..
(am i asking too much with a very lil budget) tongue.gif .anyway thnks bro.
