which one better between these 2? any other better deals?

i have 2 options HP G4-1007TX i3 second gen (2.1 ghz),500 gb, 2gb ram, ATI radeon HD 6470 3D with 3 years warranty = RM 1948

HP G42-458 TX, i5 processor 480m (2.66ghz turbo boost), 2gb RAM, 640GB HDD, ATI Radeon HD 6370 3D, 3 years warranty = RM 1999


which one is better for data processing?

yup the i5 old gen plus extra 140 GB HDD which cost extra RM 50. my budget limited to RM 2K and requirement need 3 years warranty and only HP and Dell (Don't want dell).

Thank you for your reply, someone mention to me better to take new model rather than old model. so dilemma, already want to submit the quote for verification. should I take HP Pavillion G4 1007TX or HP G42 458TX?

aiyoo making more harder. I went to the shop I think the new model HP G4 10007TX look nicer compare to the HP G42 458TX. I know performance is more important, but how this processor speed can make such significant different? because if just slight i might go and purchase HP G4 10007TX

is it consider not wise if i take HP G4 even though i know i can get other slightly better HP lappy with the same price? problem is that I need to buy HP and budget strictly restricted to 2k otherwise will take HP Pavilion g4-1113TX

i would like to see clarification, is it true that most of the laptop nowadays will not include the recovery CD and the windows CD to customer, they will only have the option of auto recovery through the system. This was told by HP

1. Brand: if possible dell, lenovo and hp.
2. Budget: RM3,000 and below
3. *Usage: research and matlab
4. Size: 14'~17'
