Hi guys, i have been here before looking for 10-12 inch notebooks/netbooks but havent bought yet..

Anyway i'll be in taipei (NTU) for 2 weeks in October so was wondering pros and cons of buying a notebook over there. probably looking for asus.

Need advice, will there be customer support over here, does it cost less, where to buy.. is there english version..?

If not good to buy there i'll probably order a dell inspiron m102z. What are your thoughts on this model?

Thanks

Nik

You need to make sure the laptop is covered by international warranty nod.gif
Other than that, Dell M102z is a great choice~

Anyway, you're buying here or there? laugh.gif
Mind sharing your budget? Usage?

I'm looking for something less than rm1700, since this probably wont be my main working computer. I need it for doing my office work (word/ppt/excel) on the go, do some blogging, and also for watching movies during long travel or when i'm away from home for some time.. need it to be light, something i can always carry around with me. wont hurt also if it can run spss statistical software

Something lite below RM1.7k, so i was gunning for either 10 or 12 incher.. looking for the best value for money within that range.. among my finalist were hp dm1, thinkpad edge 11, sony vaio Y, fujitsu lifebook ph521 and asus 1215b-e350 (but never available). then i came across dell m102z which seems better than hp dm1, only a bit more bulkier.. and cannot cuba pegang tengok cause no one is selling.. online only..

then i happen to also be going to taiwan in october, so just wondering whether i should try and get an asus there with better price, but really dont know what to expect over there..

so if im not confident with buing a lappy in taiwan, i'll probably order that dell m102z online from dell malaysia, though i really hope i could hold it in my hand first before buy..

thanks

Nik
