Hey all,

Can anyone recommend me the best bang for buck laptops that will run Starcraft 2 at decent levels? Don't care about any other games.

I was looking at Sager, purely for a value point of view (hoping build quality/heating problems aren't too bad...). I know they are customizable, but here are some quick reference setups I was trying to decide between. They all have the following in common:
i7-2630QM
8Gb DDR3 ram
300Gb Intel 320 SSD

SAGER NP3250
1366 x 768
<del>1GB GDDR3 Nvidia GeForce GT 520M GPU</del>: SC2 @ medium settings -> 27 fps
RM: 4707

SAGER NP5160
1920 x 1080
1GB GDDR3 Nvidia GeForce GT 540M: SC2 @ medium settings -> 53 fps (1360x768)
RM: 4,962

SAGER NP5165
1920 x 1080
2GB GDDR3 Nvidia GeForce GT 555M GPU: SC2 @ medium settings -> 59 fps
RM: 5,501 (100 lower due to sale)

SAGER NP8130
1920 x 1080
GTX 560M GPU with 1.5GB GDDR5: SC2 @ high settings -> 67.9 fps
RM: 5,859 (100 lower due to sale)

Does anyone have any feedback/experience/reviews to attest to the SC2 performance of any of the above? If I can run SC2 on NP3250 medium settings and decent frame-rate I'd be happy. The NP8130 looks tasty but will kind of break my budget. Obviously if the NP3250 can't run the game well though there's no point wasting money in the first place.

Any help appreciated smile.gif

@PFTJ - cheers for the link. For the model you mentioned, the website lists it as 1920x1080 resolution. Can I still run either the laptop or the game itself in lower resolution (1360x768)? I thought for some reason you needed to pair the game with the laptops native res for good effect.
