1. Brand : Any brand
2. Budget : Max 4k
3. Usage : 1. HD movie 2. Internet 3. Gaming
4. Spec : 15" or 14", it better to be 14" with at least 5 hours battery life and at least Nvidia 550M VGA and slim
My choice is Asus N45SF but I am not sure about battery life
Anyone knows when we can expect to see new Acer models here in Malaysia?

TQ for helping

GT540M with 1gb and 2gb really got big difference? My fren juz bought a 4830tg told me there is big diff & saw another sifu said its like jln biasa vs highway...but as far as i know, the diff is not prominent. Can anyone clarify this?
*
well there is no much difference in the amount of vram 1gb or 2gb, maybe just a marketing hype? 1gb should be sufficient though

I hate lenovo design and also I am looking for an i7 to be suitable for gaming
*
well, gaming perfomance is not determined by cpu, most likely depends on the gpu of the system
those two models are among the strongest gpu in 14" laptop (aside from alienware which is out of your budget range)

Alienware M14x, i5-2410M + Nvidia GT555M (1.5GB)@RM4199[Klipsch], backlit keyboard

but if u insist on i7 for 14", got dv4 i7 version

n55sf offers stronger gpu + subwoofer though many people feels like n55 design is a downgrade compared to previous version

1. ANY brand
2. 3k maximum
3. Need high processing power but no need high graphic since no gaming only doing coding and wording
4. Screen size 13" to 15"

MUST be light less then 2kg , ultra portable.
*
15" cannot be considered as ultra portable already la sweat.gif

Hi all!

I've been planning to buy a 14' laptop & 1 model really caught my eye; ASUS a43sj-vx313.

I intend to do assignments (mostly word n ppt), surfing n play some games.

My question is since the laptop come with GT 520, can i play FIFA on it?

N i also would like to ask about the performance of the cpu, intel B940; in term of simple tasks like watching movie/video, doing my assignments, surfing n playing Fifa manager..

Really appreciate ur feedbacks n if any of my questions sound silly, pls forgive me because I have a very little knowledge about computer.

TQ.

b940 should be able to handle basic usage and simple tasks, regarding the gpu, you can refer to here

http://www.notebookcheck.net/Computer-Game...ds.13849.0.html

it will give you ideas on how the gpu would perform in real life. seems like gt520m has no problem handling fifa 11 on highest setting

i3 is relatively better but then, but pretty much the difference is almost not apparent when performing simple tasks

since sifu lee says that amd a6 is better than i3-2330m, acer 5560g is the right way to go,

else with that budget, you can get basic i3-2310m with integrated graphic
