^N43Sl has better speakers, better design, and probably better cooling. N43 has Nvidia Optimus as well~
The battery life is said to be 7-8 hours now after BIOS update  thumbup.gif
Do take note that both the A43 and N43 (non-Jay Chou version)  doesn't have USB3.0

These are the available options brows.gif but you're going to have to see for yourself which one is deemed "slim" by your taste laugh.gif

Hi there all the laptop gurus...I really need some recommendations here for a new laptop as mine have just gone kaput..

I am currently in university and I rarely use it for hardcore gaming. Just need a good laptop that can run smoothly, durable and value for money.

Brand: Don't mind any (I have asus, toshiba and dell in mind), but I am open to other suggestions.

Budget: below RM4k

Specs: i5 or i7..a decent dedicated GPU, 4GB DDR3 ram and good battery life.

Size: 13" or 14" would be fine.

So far I have considered the ASUS A43SV-VX028V, ASUS A43V-VX073V, DELL vostro v130 and the ASUS X42Jr series.

Thank you very much!!! notworthy.gif

Well depends on your application and what you going to use it for.
For me mainly is office works and web surfing (kind of overkill right)? laugh.gif
But at the price and value, I guess this is the best.

If you're like me who has a six core setup with crossfire at home then it makes no sense to take n53sv i7. brows.gif
