I have a question, parents won't let me get the NP8130 so i was thinking of
N55Sf-S2043v [black], i5-2410M + Nvidia GT555m (2GB) and N55Sf-SX047v, i7-2630QM + Nvidia GT555m (2GB)

can the N55sf-S2043v upgrade to i7 and what is the difference between these 2 models beside the blu-ray and the processor?

Pretty much just that..

Cannot upgrade to Core i7 except doing it yourself..
If you have the budget for NP8130, can consider the Asus G53Sx@RM3999...

no diff.. lolx... just the cpu and bluray oli...

i5 would do for alot of people...

i7 if ur a heavy user of CAD programs or 3d rendering programs....

they say oh got cheaper laptop try to get that -___-
so stuck with asus...

Do you need the Core i7 ?

not really just wanted to know if i'm able to upgrade it to i7 or not.
cause i'll just use it for mostly gaming and maybe in the future some programming

Can upgrade, but you need buy the Core i7, open up the notebook, void the warranty..

then definitely... i5 is enuf.. @@

i got price from my friend,
A53 rm2300
N53 rm2350

which should i go for as i dont really know the differences between them.

Spec wise their are the same, just design and N53 has better speaker..

There are newer model Asus N55SF that you can consider....
