After reading one page I was thinking of XPS 15 since I am mainly gonna use it for photochop/illustrator/whatevermediastuffforfuture and a little gaming perhaps

Any other alternatives than dell? One major complain I know about XPS is its side fan and weight

what do you intend to do wit ur computer ??

game?/ high gaming??? running professional and heavy software?? autocad? photochop? video editing?? playing battlefield 3?? lolx... mass effect 3??

if yes.. then ur dv6 wun be wasted.. it will be stretched kaw kaw. ^^

if ur browsing? listen music? watch movie? offcie document work? facebook games?? ....

then it's potential is wasted NOW.... but in future i mana boleh predict what u going to use??

...... get the best in ur budget....  in specs, design, quality, looks..

thx, i used it mainly for movies, game(yea, might be mass effect 3), and 3d max rendering, so it should not be a waste, i think haha

sadly, my budget only can extend max to RM3500 sad.gif

and with my current acer core 2 duo, 3d rendering is ok, but when comes to lighting and animation added, then it might get slow...alot... laugh.gif

for stakhash windows executive couldn’t identify the module we were in when the application crashed (it uses the instruction pointer to determine what code was executing). In this case, the kernel simply takes a hash of the stack

something like stack/interuption

In the OS when I try to get a faulting module name it is possible that there is no module laoded (sic) at that address. For example in this case the EIP was zero. So in those cases where a module is not loaded and it is not also in the unloaded module list, I take a stack hash of the stack so that we can identify this crash from other crashes where also the module is not known.

HP Dv6 would be the best choice I would say~
Dv6-6001TX, i7-2630QM + AMD HD6770@RM3499 [2.63kg]; Beats headphones
Dv6-6114TX, i7-2630QM + AMD HD6770 + BluRay@RM3799 [Beats][2.63kg], [4GB RAM] Beats headphones, HP optical mouse, HP 500GB external HDD

Some forumer managed to get RM2.9k withouth the Beats headphones (usually its around RM3.1k)

Does ATI have any quirks or being clunky when it comes to cgi rendering?

Also hardware wise is it ok from HP? or dell?

Never done CGI before so can't really comment laugh.gif
Hardware-wise is the same regardless of manufacturers... but the cooling system will more or less affect the performance and durability of internals

Acer Aspire 4750G, i5-2410M + Nvidia GT 520@RM1949[2.3kg], 3 years local limited warranty
Dell Inspiron 14, i5-2410M + Intel HD3000@RM1999

Lenovo G470, i5-2410M + Intel HD3000@RM1999
Lenovo G470, i5-2410M + AMD HD6370@RM2199, 2 years on-site warranty
Toshiba Satellite L745-1049U, i3-2310M + Intel HD3000@RM1799[2.14kg], 2nd & 3rd year warranty
Toshiba Satellite L745-1050X, i3-2310 + Nvidia GT525M@RM1999[2.14kg], 2nd & 3rd year warranty

Might want to go for i5 for Photoshop nod.gif
Warranty-wise Dell would be the best provided you're covered... Its best that you extend warranty to 3 years for those without it nod.gif

So whats your take on the XPS laptop? I don't mind stretching my budget since I am somewhat interested in it
If not I shall stick with Dv6
