sunspot on the cheek part.
is it the skin dehydration and over-exposure to sun the main course?
i'm wasn't so sure about the effect, cause it happen on my friend skin.
what's your advise? and the product to use.
Everyone has pigment cells in their skin called melanocytes which produce melanin, darkening our skin and provides UV light protection. Although everyone has the same number of these cells, the activity is different for each person. The spreading of this melanin to the surrounding cells is called tanning.
However, when there is uneven skin tone pigmentation may result where some areas are darker than others. In this case then brightening/whitening products may help.
I myself have bad pigmentation and am now using a whitening product which is plant based. It helps stops melanin production in 3 ways.
1. deactivate the skin signal so that the sun rays cannot reach the pigment cell.
2. suppress the hormone which produce melanin
3. lightens existing dark spots.
Most women can see the lightening effect within 4-8 weeks depending on how long the pigmentation.
Many whitening products in the market use the chemical hydroqulinone which acts like a bleaching agent and can be harmful to the skin.
