Gundam Age IS supposed to go Digimon style given its target audience and marketing strategy. They are selling gundams that can be used in real-life virtual duels, hence the cartoony gattai variations.

The contents are more important than the boxart. I couldn't care less about how the boxart looks like, although it's always a bonus if it's well drawn.

There is no proper lineart for the prototype that AE made which was stolen by Neo Zeon. The closest we've got is the brief display on Nahal Argama's screen when Albert inserted his AE data disk during Sinanju's first attack. That looked pretty similar to the current Sinanju with the exception of the horn, the spikes, and the intricate armour design of the chest and sleeves.

Sinanju has a monoeye. Those small eyes that lit up after the main monoeye was blown away by Daguza's close range bazooka were most likely backup cameras.

Nevertheless, it's uncertain whether the original prototype by AE had a monoeye or gundam eyes as they were never revealed.

The Asshimar had those too. When its main camera got shattered by Hyaku Shiki's bazooka, three smaller cameras lit up and took over the function of the main one.

Cartias has those medieval tapestry in his mansion as seen in the first OVA. Despite the name, these tapestry often incorporates a lion together with the unicorn and the lady. The Lady refers to Minerva, while the Banshee is the Lion and the Unicorn is the Unicorn.

The interpretation of these tapestry is uncertain and one can only speculate so much. In Unicorn itself, it's also unexplained (so far) what's the relationship between the lion, the unicorn, and the lady; although for now it seems that the Unicorn (Banarge) is the Lady's guardian, while the Banshee (Marida, later Riddy) is more of an antagonist to the Unicorn but ultimately wants to "guard" the Lady in its own way.

No idea why the Unicorn Unit 2 is code-named Banshee instead of something more similar to "lion". It's not as if it wails like the Irish spirit. The only difference between the Unicorn and the Banshee is that the latter is more tuned to operate under gravity as it is originally a RX-0 prototype being tested for Earth-use.

The reason why it glows gold rather than red is not entirely explained, but towards the end both psychoframes glow in "rainbow" colours (i.e. green).
