QUOTE(nazrul90 @ Jul 30 2011, 11:41 PM) There's no "level" in UC.Most of the non-Gundam prototypes produced by Titans have performance stats that exceed the MKII; in fact the MKII is actually a prototype which later turned into a grunt suit - Barzam, where the latter outperformed the former. AEUG and Titans MKIIs vary only in terms of colour. Delta Gundam and Delta Plus have pretty significant aesthetic differences. Review of the GM Custom:
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Pros: 1. Proportions are spot on, in fact they are an improvement over the MG. 2. Tight ABS joints provide more stability yet it's not too stiff that impedes ease of posing. It's a very sturdy and well-balanced kit. 3. Kudos to Bandai for providing a modified trigger-finger palm which has an angulated male connector. Very important since the bullpup has a long body and a downward-facing ammo clip. Without it, it wouldn't be able to hold the rifle properly, let alone do the SWAT team pose in picture 3. 4. Lots of spare hands (open palms, closed fists) for dynamic poses, or you can use them with other gunpla. 5. Like the CGUE, its ankles also have a great range of movement for standing with legs wide open. Better than many Zeon units with bell-bottoms eg Doms. 6. Awesome decal sheet. Who doesn't like additional numbers and logos? 7. Bandai could have taken the easy way out by providing stickers for the red parts (shoulder thrusters, cockpit hatch), yet they provided actual red pieces. Cons: 1. HUGE nubs. For god knows what reason this gunpla is full of thick and tough sprues that are very difficult to cut. My hobby knife is now very dull. Many of the nubs are also located at very obvious places - the worst culprits are the forearms, shoulders, and the feet. Light blue parts are fortunately easier to manage compared to dark blue (GM Quel), but they are still annoying. 2. The two small thrusters on top of the backpack are a pain in the arse. The tight area plus curved, rounded surface means it's very difficult to paint it properly without making a mess. Would have been easier had they provided two small round pieces. 3. Would have liked an additional 90mm bullpup to go with the 120mm. The MG has both, but of course it's an MG. To be fair, the HGUC GM Quel also doesn't come with the GM beam gun either unlike its MG counterpart. 4. The connector for the shield doesn't insert tight enough into the forearm holes. It's not terribly loose, but it's enough for it to wobble. 5. Only one open fist (right), which means you can't wield the sabre in the left hand. Boo. The Quel also has a trigger palm for the left hand for dual wielding action although it only comes with one rifle. Double boo. Things to watch out for: 1. Fragile antenna. Speaking of which, it also comes with the Quel's black antenna but surprisingly the black one is too thin to fit in ! I actually wanted to use the black one. 2. The open left palm which has the movable wrist - be careful when removing it from the forearm, the moving joint detaches easily and if you use too much force it may break. 3. The stickers are VERY TINY. Hold your breath when removing them from the sheet. A little breeze and they'll be gone. So which one to choose? OK, the GM Custom may look very similar to the Quel, but in HGUC form they have fairly different designs in particularly the legs and the feet. The Custom's knee joints are more complicated while the ankles have additional pieces. And as mentioned above, the angulated trigger palm is a huge improvement. The additional 100yen for the newer Custom is worth it. The Custom has the advantage of having more showtime in the OVA and being piloted by the badass Burning tai-eee, whereas the Quel only shows up briefly towards the very end. But at the end of the day, it depends on which colour you like. Now my expectations for the upcoming Jesta is even higher This post has been edited by StarGhazzer: Jul 31 2011, 09:32 PM |

QUOTE(nazrul90 @ Aug 6 2011, 04:32 PM) oh mai i jizz in my pant.. I wouldn't mind if they use lame gold (poo yellow) for the frame since it will be easy to paint them. Not many of them are exposed anyway, and most of them aren't joints so less risk of scratching the paintjob. Making it bling bling chrome gold will only jack up the price. The best option would be extra finish gold like the HD Hyaku Shiki, but it'll also be expensive. if Bandai release it, i bet they use lame gold for psycho frame plus that 'deer' fin must be hard to sharpen(you know, they always put excess nubs on sharp part) Here's more Banshee which are better build than the one shown before. http://imageshack.us/g/687/1kornkys.jpg/ Now go change pants. |

QUOTE(Tiger I @ Aug 10 2011, 04:45 PM) This is a short review of MG XM-X1 Crossbone Gundam X1 Ver Ka, S.N.R.I. Prototype Mobile Suit. I'm starting to think that there might be varying qualities in Bandai's ABS joints. Cons: Bandai decided that PC part might harm the Earth and thus does not include it in this kit design Lack of PC will surely affect the joint. Mine already loose in some places, notably on Core Fighter itself I was young back then. Staying in college, doing nothing, I enjoy playing with it if I'm bored with games, chit-chat and studying. Kinda regretted playing too much with this kit, and the lack of PC parts is a PITA. But hey, if you love the design, go for it. Just don't really play with it after assembly. My HGUC GP02's ABS joints are stiff as heck, same with the RX78 ver2.0; yet the ones on my MKII ver2.0 are appalling. It can't even hold its rifle properly and the elbows are flabby. QUOTE(nazrul90 @ Aug 10 2011, 05:00 PM) MG Xbone is 16cm hence it has a similar head height as the HGUC Sazabi. The rear thrusters makes it look taller but the Sazabi is still more bulky. QUOTE(reehdus @ Aug 11 2011, 06:43 PM) Some early prototype version of the Geara Doga with funnel system. Has nothing that resembles the Geara Doga, instead it's a Jagd Doga with Sazabi design cues - red, horn, rear armour for the helmet, mega particle cannon on the waist, and of course shotrifle. The popular belief is that the Sazabi is based on this, however this is a MSV design and there's no official acknowledgement of its existence in the CCA-era. Interestingly if you look at its profile on MAHQ, it is designed by Hitoshi Fukuchi while the Sazabi is from Yutaka Izubuchi. Can't really tell who sketched it first or who copied who. Anyway, it'd be swell if there is an HGUC of this. |

QUOTE(daydreaming @ Aug 15 2011, 09:58 AM) er...i already have SF..i feel a bit too similar for me to pay the $$$ There's no MG Providence, and the normal 1/100 version has pretty much the old problems of other 1/100 Seed gunplas, i.e. poor articulations and proportions. somehow i din see any MG Providence or the Zaku :T force impulse is nice, but a bit similar to Aile Strike in colors, and i already have sword impulse akatsuki is..... too pricey =_= You might want to go for the 1/100 Legend instead. Quite highly-detailed, better proportioned, and wouldn't look out of place aside other MGs of its time. |

Works well for lightly coloured parts, but for dark (esp black) parts use some panel lining markers to go over the nubs.especially those dark coloured parts, after u cut it got leave behind white-stretched-plastic marks rubbing with fingernail seems to reduce the whiteness QUOTE(calcilis @ Aug 14 2011, 11:09 PM) planning not to follow the decal plan Why not? instead of decal on spot that i like is that ok?(for the rick dom) I note that yours is an MG... where's the Char figurine? The HGUC Rick Dom doesn't even come with decorative stickers. No Zeon emblems, no numbers, no warning decals whatsoever. Only monoeye and ugly yellow for the scattering beam gun.If you got the combo G3-Char custom Rick Dom set then you'll have much more stickers to apply. If only there's a separate HGUC Char Rick Dom available. Don't really like the G3... This post has been edited by StarGhazzer: Aug 15 2011, 12:53 PM |

QUOTE(daydreaming @ Aug 15 2011, 05:06 PM) You probably read this:http://www.gaijin-gunpla.com/mg-delta-plus-review-55-7/ Not sure whether Syd bought a lemon, or maybe all DPs are shabbily built. Sometimes it depends on your luck - as mentioned before my MKII's joints are weak as f*ck, my Aegis likes doing splits, and my Blue Frame is a jellyfish. As long as you enjoy the process of building it that's all that matters. Having said that, transforming kits often have horrible joints anyway. Too tight and you'll break something, too loose and you have a rubbish limp kit. If you don't have enough cash, go for HGUC Delta Plus. Cheaper, more solid, less moving parts. QUOTE(calcilis @ Aug 15 2011, 07:07 PM) better stick with MP type kits(if u wan MG) The GM Custom has nothing close to the Jegan in terms of development history, performance, or aesthetics. It's more of an upgraded, highly-speced GM Kai which in turn is based on the Alex... which again is an upgraded RX78. for its awesomeness and cheapness hmm don noe if MG GM custom(from stardust ) is available or not this is as close to jegan as possible i heard theres a MG for it There is an MG GM Custom, but it's an old kit with old technology so can't expect too much from it. You get slightly off proportions and a horrible knee construction, but in return you have two rifles, Burning figurine, and a functioning cockpit. For the price, you could buy a HGUC Custom AND Quel with some leftover change, but hey it's down to personal preference. Dalong.net posted the review of the MG DP... nice to see some interesting decals - R008. That's Riddhe's callsign, Romeo 8. This post has been edited by StarGhazzer: Aug 16 2011, 08:15 AM |

Miniaturised-MG... not much difference at all unlike the RX78/Zaku/Strike with the ridiculous amount of different coloured panels. HGUC Zee Zulu = expected... the head's gonna have really limited articulation as the pipes are connected to the torso. HGUC Jesta = fck yeah !! MUST GET. HGUC Dra-C = not surprising but hell 2000 yen... bloody expensive for something that can only be posed flying. Next round will be Banshee and Ankusha. Surely. |

QUOTE(calcilis @ Aug 30 2011, 08:04 PM) One of the most beautiful MGs ever.Don't have it, but seen enough of it to be awed by its beauty and magnificent engineering (especially the legs). However, the palms are tiny compared to other MGs and the oddly-shaped rifle is slightly thinner than it should be. The lack of Moonlight Butterfly effect parts is a miss too. Z has a detailed writeup on Turn A... go have a read. |
