I've been using Carbon Copy Cloner all this while before it went to become a commercial product. I'm still using the older version (free) on ML and it seems to work wonderfully (at least on my setup).

Yes, it should work for SL and Lion.
On the mic, no idea, probably a short Google search will give you an answer. |

Time machine worked for me- I could even recover system files, but I also agree that something that can clone the hard disk would be even better. I've heard good things about superduper. |

I've heard good things about superduper. Time machine is only good for backup data. It doesnt give you a bootable partition if shit happen to your existing Hackintosh.SuperDuper or Carbon Copy Cloner gave you that important bootable partition. Trust me. It save me a lot of time when the "shit happend moment" hit me. Even a "you think" unharmful action like turn on Trim on Trim Enabler will cause your Hackintosh Kernel Panic and cant even boot up with -x -v -whatever. Hi guys.
I succesfully installed ML on my Acer Aspire v3 571g. I got audio and ethernet to work. I have a GT 640m card which from what I've read, will not work with ML. I have Intel HD 4000, but how can I enable this? |

QUOTE(wiraone @ Nov 25 2012, 11:46 AM) I installed using the normal USB method. Then I installed chameleon with the Intel HD4000 support. Last night I got the HD 4000 to work already. It is showing up in my system info. But it only says 64mb shared.. I'm sure it can go higher. And I also do not have quartz extreme support. When I play certain files in VLC/Mplayerx, it says that OpenGL is not supported. Also HD videos on Youtube are laggy. |

Why most ppl choose to use gigabyte mobo to run hackintosh??
is import we need to know the mobo chipset for SB(this is for sata & usb ) , Lan and Audio mobo chipset we always choose Sata = intel chipset is no problem ...the only problem is 3 part of sata chipset .. look for JMicron or Marvell chipset Audio= look for Realtek Chipset Lan = look for Realtek Chipset those chipset need to know model /spec..wether it support or not @crimv most gigabyte mobo will work fine |
