Penny Dreadful's pilot was excellent. Looks like Showtime could have another major hit since Dexter.

Just saw the 2nd episode, for a heavy drama the pacing is good. Just like Rectify. This one's a keeper.

QUOTE(hfi @ Aug 9 2014, 01:26 PM) A new medical drama series The Knick directed by Soderbergh and featuring Clive Owen has kicked off. Getting some good reviews and has already been renewed for second season with 10 episodes. Can't wait to watch it later tonight. Surprisingly coming from Cinemax, its not trashy at all like Banshee(And I like that show too). Very minimal nudity and profanity. And well done too. Love the early 20th century set.![]() This post has been edited by MatchesMalone: Aug 17 2014, 05:58 PM |

QUOTE(acexii @ Aug 29 2014, 03:11 PM) Following it, can watch for Sean Bean, he carries the whole show. The rest of the character's and plot setup is pretty much the same spy stuff seen in 24 and Homeland since its the same producers. |
