its medical, closer to drama than comedy.

will drop my interest. got potential but its not funny. its about old people care unit in hospital.

There was also a 2-part Bonnie and Clyde re-make recently. Has anyone checked out this History Channel series The Bible? Similar style as Vikings.

Hello Ladies

watched 4 episodes, i think its pretty good. the lead actor is a Stephen Merchant, the creator of the original UK The Office.

very awkward and hilarious.

It was alright for me..
Some episode is okay but some is a bit boring...

Death comes to pemberley - quite boring but sustainable
Moonfleet 2013 - simple story but pleasantly surprised towards the ending part
Great Train Robbery - very bland with respect to the title

The Assets

its comparable to The Americans. same era (80s), cold wars between US and russian, the main protagonist is a woman, struggling between spy /intelligence works and a family.

judging from the pilot, The Assets will be as good as The Americans (which i like..)

Fellow TV addicts, it January Joy! I am looking forward to these series:

Helix - 8th January

The series follows a team of scientists from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention who travel to a research facility in the Arctic to investigate a potential outbreak of disease. While there, they find themselves stuck in a life-or-death situation that could decide the fate of the future of mankind.

True Detective - 10th January

HBO's brand new anthology-format TV series ala American Horror Story whereby each season will have a different story and cast of characters.

Season 1 stars Matthew McConaughey (Rust Cohle) and Woody Harrelson (Martin Hart) as 2 detectives tracing a serial killer across a span of 17 years.

latest tv series, Intelligence

QUOTE
In Intelligence, Josh Holloway stars as Gabriel Vaughn, a high-tech intelligence operative enhanced with a super-computer microchip in his brain.

With this implant, Gabriel is the first human ever to be connected directly into the global information grid. He can hack into any data center and access key intel in the fight to protect the United States from its enemies.

Marg Helgenberger stars as Lillian Strand, the director of the US Cyber Command who supports Gabriel and oversees the unit's missions. She assigns Riley Neal (Meghan Ory  wub.gif ), a Secret Service agent, to protect Gabriel from outside threats, as well as from his appetite for reckless, unpredictable behavior and disregard for protocol.

Intelligence

im not impressed with the pilot. i put this series same level with Marvel SHILED agents (which i already dropped it). will give a go for 2nd episode, before drop it for good. the acting are so-so.

the main idea are OK (chip in the guy's head), in fact i love it. but the super computer ability are too advance, too implausible for my liking. close to nonsense..

Yeah i haven't seen it but i was already leaning towards not seeing it because of the very reasons you listed. I'm not fond with the idea of giving a character 'god mode' because it gives the writers too much freedom and allows them to cross into the realm of nonsensical plots and devices.
