Would like to find out if there are owners of Casa Tiara apartment (Tiaraville) in Subang Jaya. I am an owner staying here, and to be honest getting very frustrated with the management...the facilities in the gym are just rotting away and not getting fixed, and it seems no one gives a s**t about it.

Some equipment hasn't been fixed over a year now, and now out of 3 treadmills only 1 is working!!

Can anyone recommend who to approach who has power to give the management a kick up the a**e? Is it only the 'committee' or is there a higher authority who I can approach with a formal complaint, maybe to consider overthrowing the current mngmt? I know the management attitude, they have the 'who cares' attitude and their excuses are lame as hell so there's no reasoning with them on any level. It's a shame a nice apartment like this is managed by a bunch of mutts.

Any feedback appreciated.

On this matter of management's lack of management, write to them officially. Most condo/apartment have JMCs by now. Find out who is the chariman and write to him and CC to management. Find out when is the scheduled AGM and make your views heard.

Hope this helps.

I used to own an apartment in Casa Tiara which I bought in 2005 and sold off last year.

The problem with this place is that many foreign students (from Africa, Mid-East and Asia) rent here and they cause a lot of damage to the public amenities (eg gym, swimming pool, access doors to lifts) and create a nuisance to the community here (very rowdy, noisy and aggressive). The management finds it very hard to handle them due to their inconsiderate and uncivic attitude.

I quite agree that the management company appointed to look after Casa Tiara are also not up to the mark even though they were appointed based on their experience managing other condos e.g. Riana Green. You should bring this matter up in the next AGM of the JMC and vote for a better management team.

Thanks for your feedback!

Baharinsav, honesty I don't find the community here to be rowdy, its actually peaceful at my place. Or maybe my block is just lucky I dont know, but I do know the management has problems with students as I was on good terms with them before and they told me their issues with the students.

But its no excuse for letting the facilities rot. For example, we're supposed to sign in and sign out when using the facilities and there is a guard who is on duty all the time. If the facilities are being wrecked by students, its the management/guards duty to take action and fine the perpetrator.

Simply not caring about the facilities is complete bullsh*t, there are many civil people using the facilities well. I use the gym a few times a week and I haven't seen any abuse to the facilities. Its old age/reliability problems which is causing the failures (example, the 2nd treadmill has a power issue...you put the plug in the socket and the whole gym blacks out!) so these issues cannot be caused by people.

Really need to do something fast, as I am in no mood to pay a single ringgit of maintenance fees until the facilities are up to expectations.

hello there,
i guess you are the only one owner i can found mate. really glad to see u here.
in fact, this is indeed a very sad thing about this apartment, the management is so damn poor. now this apartment just like those aged low-cost flats.
i have no idea when they will have meeting, according to the management, we(those ordinary owner) is not allow to attend the meeting...WTF! only those elected member, who elect them?

i believe those elected members are running the management just like they owner business. they even simply increased the maintenance fees without notify me the ordinary owner. the reason for the increment is because it the maintenance fees set by the developer was too low, now they have to increased it just to make it back the previous lost. wth!
the most unfortunate thing is........with that increment but nothing change, still like a cheap lil low-cost flat! aint that sad .....sad.gif

What do you mean by 'normal owner'? I am a normal owner myself...and they invite all of us (owners) to attend the AGM...the next one should be coming soon but I won't be attending since I'd be in a different country.

Best if you attend and voice out your issues. Recently though they've made some good improvements, gym is a lot more respectable now with 3 brand new treadmills and I hear they are planning to beautify the pool area as well. New guards elected as well, they are more professional compared to the crappy ones we had before.

Apparently, the new management which took over was ridden with debts from the crap developer (NPO developments) which had left a HUGE TNB bill (about rm200k) along with other debts for contractor issues. The new management had no choice but to increase the fees (now its on par with E-tiara so I think its fair enough).

I have an 800sqft unit there, rented out to a company for 2550. My dad has a 925sft unit going for 2700. Rental rate is still very good...and lots of demand. When I put my unit up for rental, at least 10 people came to view in 1 month so I could choose who I felt was best. Obviously company is a lot more reliable.

The rental is fully furnished? Its glad that 10 people come n view in a month, means its hot demand.

Sorry I'm so late with the reply, yes fully furnished. The tenants are employees of a company from China, basically both units are rented out to the same company.
