I find it weird, the same mp4 file I throw into Galaxy S2 can be played without problem, but not with Galaxy Tab 10.1 (with msg sorry the video cant be played)... what could be the problem? I'm puzzled...

Hi all, still couldn't solve my tab unable to play mp4 and mkv problem... should i flash my tab with other ROMs?

Starting to feel regret getting this tab as the video support is inferior to s2... maybe is my unit only or my unit is defective?

YES huddle definitely is supported. If you have read the posts just a few earlier than what you have posted, I have specifically said I am using it as a WiFi hotspot with my Tab 10.1
YES GO - I don;'t have but I don't think you can as ALL honeycomb tablets do not haveUSB modem support. So far only hack zoom and iconia can have this feature - mix reports of efficiency and reliability and is limited to certain USB modem models only
YES has not develop any Android apps yet for Android Honeycomb

Seem the Tab price is dropping got someone in garage sale selling brand new 10.1 SME set at 1799 but his stock serving next week Tuesday

Galaxy tab already preinstalled flash inside...however the browser not enabled the plugin by default... you must enable it first at browser setting first...set enable plugins whether always on or by demand...setting button at upper right corner of the browser.

Better buy directly from samsung elite partner coz u will entitle 2 yrs warranty on the galaxy tab. Other place u only get 1 yr warranty.

Don't buy from Samsung Mobile in Garden and USJ Summit.
They wanted to charge me RM 189 and RM220+3%cc respectively for the kit while the actual price is RM 109.
I bought mine in Samsung, Sunway (Not the phone shops or kiosks in the Mobile Section) at RM 109 w/o cc charges.

I can play all common video mp4,avi,mkv etc including YouTube default flv without issues

guys; wanna ask about maybank login using the tab.

Are you guys able to see the picture verification on ur tab?
Normal procedure is

1. Key in username
2. Will prompt a picture verification
3. Next key in password

I am having issues login in. Picture verification did not show up on the TAB
It asked for my username and password when i keyed in it says wrong username & pass

No issues using my laptop.

are you sure the .avi file you are playing is mp4?
just because it ends with avi that does not mean it is mp4 or anything else that you could be assuming
yeah the stock player on sgs2 had more codecs than the one on the tablet
so chances are your file may not even be mp4
or it could be in a weird video/audio codec combo
