im planning to get a Nikkor Lense 70-300mm AF Zoom Lens f/4.5-5.6G..n i ustand that is a non-motor lens. but if im using D300s it can be used as AF rite?

what is the difference between a Nikon 24-85mm n a Leica 24-70mm lens? regardless of the brand, i just want to know the functions of each lens or is it almost the same.
