Hi sifus here,
I have a Phat XBOX360 and i have been using HDMI with my lcd TV all the while. But recently i plugged out the HDMI cable to connect to my laptop and the XBOX360 doesnt work at all with the same TV anymore. I have tried with 2 different TVs with the same HDMI cable and it works without any issue. But once i plugged it back to my own LCD TV, it wont work at all. I have tried with different resolution and different color spacing but still not able to display anything. Odd enough, the LCD TV has no problem detecting/display other devices, ie: laptop, Blu-ray player.
I have tried Y+RT to reset the Xbox display and also restore to factory settings for both the XBOX and LCD TV, but still no hope at all...

Any sifu has this kind of experience before and mind to share wit me how you solve the problem?

Thanks!

Your problem is very weird.

Most likely your problem lies at console. Send to shop check better, tell them ur console sometime got display, sometime not. Put there 1 day or 2 for testing. If no problem then should be your cable or TV having problem

try connecting yr xbox with a component cable, set the resolution lower to 720p, then off your xbox, plug in the HDMI cable again to try

most likely an ancient dashboard that still have reset video option. Newer dash automatically detects your monitor or tv. so it most likely to be ur dashboard version, try to update ur console

if thats the case then there is a posibility that 1 of the display chip died? my 1st xbox VGA chip died, only component cable & composite cable is still able to use, after awhile no more display, it was lucky that MS SG is able to claim back a working unit ...

Actually component, composite, s-video, scart, HDMI also AV cable, AV = audio/video, VGA is A since it doesn't have audio without using other cable to connect

There is always the possibility of dust in the tv port. tried blowing it out with an Air Duster?

so ur saying that regular vga & component cable works but not HDMI. The HDMI port works for other electronics...

... i sense damage hdmi port or a dusty port on your console.

but not xbox hd input.
