Thanks for your reply...
I still have some question about the waste ink tank, I need your advice and opinion.
Do you think the waste ink tank is not compulsory? Because I get answer from my friend there said when you start the printer, the printer will drop out some ink to the original sponge container...so if not put a waste ink tank at there, will it affect other day the container will be "Full"?
Added on July 13, 2009, 11:01 pmAnd also I found one type of ink called "Sublimation", can I know what special for it? Thanks...
NOT compulsory, because the built in pad is more then sufficient.
What you say is true, eventually the pad at the bottom of the printer will get saturate. But your jumping the gun here.
* That's the original purpose, the waste pad under the printer is HUGE.. it's meant for large storage over time.
* New printer = under warranty. Let them solve it if it does happen within the warranty period.
* This MOD can void your printer warranty.
* It does not get "Full" that fast lah.. depends to user, some in 2 or 3 years time only.
* Again, depending on user, for some odd reason the printer may Kaput even before it gets 'Full'
* If is does get "Full", then address it when the time comes. If not broken, don't fix it lah
* Once u MOD, you got to keep emptying that bottle. More troublesome and extremely easy to accidently banjir your table.
* Finally.. MOD or not.. does not affect your printing output.
From my experience, the benefits of the MOD does not outweigh the hassle caused. Lagi pening just to keep things clean "inside".
FYI - I have that mod and info is on my webby online years ago. Using it too. (heck my printer is 4 years old now since before V1 bulk)
Sublimation Ink = Heat Press products. NOT for end user printing.
