Just never ever leave the printer bare without cartrtridges installed.
*
wrap the CISS cartridges with a generous, multiple layer of microwave wrapper.

MAKE SURE ITS AIR TIGHT!!!!!!!!.

and never leave the printer without carts. it may make the printer EOL.

Thanks for sharing  biggrin.gif

Admitingly I'm to lazy to wrap mine up.  I just scotch tape the ink outlets and put my cartridges in a air tight jar  tongue.gif

Are u refering to the PG40/CL41 article?

The IP4200 uses CLI8B,Y,M,C & PGI5Bk or am i missing something here? Was there already an article for the 4200?

bro, what Mr. LKM means is that canon printers are very mafan (leceh) when it comes to CISS. this is because now their carts all comes with chips. that's why you see he is looking for a epson printer.

btw i agree with him. think twice before you buy a canon printer. icon_rolleyes.gif

GENERAL comparison:

epson:
advantages:
print head wun konk
plug and print.

disadvantages:
slow speed.

canon:
advantages:
cheap compatible carts (still apply or not?)
fast speed

dis advantages:
print head not durable. heavy users, max is 3 months. ori carts cost around Rm100 1 set
have to mod a bit before using.

exceptions: this cmparison does not apply for those who dun follow instructions during installation and maintainence whistling.gif doh.gif sweat.gif rolleyes.gif shakehead.gif whistling.gif whistling.gif

It's really expensive... Yew, do you mind to print a photo for me using your C67? I wanna know the result. I will pay for it. smile.gif
*
i have a fren that is using c67 and c65. i myself have c67 and c63. i can tell u that c67 wins.

other good options, since running ciss, maybe can get R230. since ink is no more an issue (virtually unlimited supply liao dude, 4 carts and 6 carts negligable difference).

Don't worry about that, just keep on printing like no tomorrow.  Once you get used to it, you wont even bother about it anymore. (i.e. you can print unlimited pages one shot if you like)  rclxm9.gif

make sure got enough ram first.. or a print server.. if not, comp will hang rclxm9.gif

u'd better get c79 coz in any case u wanna put pigment ink inside, c59 might get clogged. pigment ink sure nicer than dye one... if u want really really good photo printing, pigment ezCISS is stands just below laser printing. but my advise is no hurry... wait till the ezCISS come out first, and let the printer price drop a bit... then buy. i.e. get the ezCISS first then oni get the printer so u won't get sabotaged by epson icon_rolleyes.gif

wow sorry to hear bout it bro... sweat.gif looks like u either take the ori cartridge chip and paste it there (you will need a manual resetter to reset it everytime it goes to 0%) or get a new set of auto reset chips rclxub.gif
