Sultan Johor Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar hosted a gathering for some 56 International Ferrari Club members here recently.

The gathering, which was held Tanjung Emas Marina near the estuary attracted hundreds of Ferrari lovers from Johor, Malacca, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.


The club members began to arrive at the Marina at about 11.30am and the Ruler, who drove the latest Ferrari model GTO R699 arrived at about 12.30pm.

A palace official said Sultan Ibrahim received the car on Friday from Singapore and drove it to Muar for the International Ferrari Club gathering.


The car, with the maximum speed of 360mph, or 579kmh, could easily go up to 260mph on the North-South Expressway but the Ruler did not go that fast.

Club member Collin Cheng from Singapore said it was kind of the Sultan to host the gathering that attracted some 56 members.

He said the members, led by the Singapore Ferrari Owners Club president Lee Lung Niew, were honoured when the Sultan drove his new Ferrari to the gathering.

Tunku Temenggong of Johor Tunku Idris Iskandar Abdul Rahman Sultan Ibrahim also drove a Ferrari but humbly said he borrowed the car from a friend.

After spending about two hours with the International Ferrari Club members, Sultan Ibrahim then led the group out of the marina area and headed back to Johor Baru.

The first Lamborghini Aventador crash happened on August 30th 2011 in Padua, Italy. The unlucky Lamborghini Aventador crashed into a truck during an overtaking manoeuvre on a rural road in the province of Padua. After the Lamborghini Aventador hit the truck it spun and hit a telephone pole, traffic sign and a fence before landing in a ditch.

The Aventador suffered some serious damage to the front wheels in the crash but the carbon fiber monocoque held up well. The accident happened on a straight road when the driver was attempting to overtake a line of cars and the before-mentioned truck, just as he was coming up to the truck the truck moved to turn left. Unable to prevent a collision the Lamborghini Aventador hit the truck with the right front wheel.

The Aventador driver wasn’t injured in the accident, nor was the truck driver. With a dent in his ego the driver will have to send the car back to the Lamborghini factory for repairs. Lets hope this will be the first and last Lamborghini Aventador crash we will see on GTspirit for years to come.

I think we should send an application letter to Tuanku to get His permission for visit the warehouse,,,,

most of the SI's cars pictures in the garage that we can see nowadays is usually from a private collection of workers are assigned to take care of the cars, except those pics on the roads. they uploaded to FB or whatever share file in the net. then everybody can search & see.

as we know the palace is a forbidden area so take the car pictures in the garage are also prohibited except by permission.

very lucky to Ferrari Owners' Club Singapore & Malaysia to have visit the Sultan Johor garage & warehouse.

the conclusions is, we need to be a member of supercar clubs then we will have chance to see SI collections
