Hi all,

I've been trying to google for solution but don't seem to find any ways to fix this.

I have an iPad 2, and an iPhone 4.. regretably, i had the data plan on iPad 2 and nothing on the iPhone. Are there any ways that my iPad can become a wifi so that my iPhone can join directly to my iPad's connection?

Thanks and please help, I was about to cancel the data plan on iPad and get it on iPhone instead...

P/S: I know there's a thing that allow iPad to join the iPhone's connection but I want it another way round, pls help.

I think MyWi can do this.. try googling MyWi iPad 2

googled on it but it seems MrWi only work with iPhone and it broadcasts the 3G signal to a Wifi hotstpot for other devices to join.......

still hoping to find one for ipad been looking around for ages and still nothing..

You can always use the ipad simcard on iphone but that means u cant accept call/sms lah

I saw news saying ipad 2 can jailbreak already so you may try and get 3rd party app to tether.

yea i heard can JB ipad 2 now, but still its a hassle lol.... if possible, i really don't want to cancel ipad and get it on iphone as its going to be troublesome, best if theres third party app on JB'ed iPad and iphone can connect straight to it...

any pros in ipad/iphone can advise? preferably with guide, thanks a million!!

huh.. i still haven got my ipad 2 yet..i thought ipad 2 same like iphon4 where you can create personal hotspot to share its cellular Data connection using Personal Hotspot, tap Settings > General > Network > Personal Hotspot.

hmm, i don't see "Personal Hotspot" in both my iphone and ipad though...

I could link my iPad 2 to connect through my iPhone 3GS' 3G connection via bluetooth internet tethering. I believe the reverse will work as well...

If you got a jailbroken ipad, you can use mywi or pdanet to share your internet connection.

why dont u GOOGLE and u will find tons of info on ipad2 JAILBREAK? even in this forum, jb discussion is all around. use your inititive and SEARCH instead of asking NOOB question and EXPECTING to be spoon fed..

I believe forum is to ask and get immediate answers, but of course to lazy people they choose not to google... If you look at topic of this discussion, its not much of a jailbreaking on ipad 4.3.3, instead its for the ipad and iphone tethering (i have done massive search on google and can't find any, lowyat net is my last hope though), jailbreaking is just a small part that throws in later in the conversation.

Maybe you focused too much on the last part of the chat, please keep your eyes focused on the initial topic of this conversation.

P/S: lowyat net is for forumers to discuss anything and everything, its a friendly forum, not for someone to be sarcastic at others talk.. if it annoys you, please leave or don't bother clicking into this thread, thanks.

Good point u have there on the search. But there is already a discussion on myvi usage if u bother to search properly. Giving constuctive criticism get u no where. U r the few that triggers people like me flame...

Me too.... . Data package on iP4 tethered to wifi only iPad.

Standard is iPhone to iPad/iPod touch.

But with mywi, you can use it the other way round..

Same procedure with iPhone settings, just that your iPad needs data package.

Guys, thanks for guiding.... I've got it done and it worked well now, im using Pdanet though (MyWi only has 3 days trial period and requires to pay) while Pdanet is actually free and I think it works great!

I never really look at Wifi_One's reply/guide at all lol, anyway since you have already typed, I hope it'll help other people in the future, but i still stick to the same words, if you don't feel like helping/guiding others or the so-called NOOB, then don't bother clicking into this thread, I'm sure you have much more to do, I think you're just rude or less polite, well maybe thats the way you are or being brought up..can always put into better words with similar meaning.. take note on that dude ^^

I think you have forgotten the most important purpose of a forum, a forum is for people to discuss (regardless they have already done their search or not), if someone claim themselves to be so good, why bother using forum?, can always open up a genius customer service centre out there, im sure we'll be glad to have that around pj/kl area.
