QUOTE(wilson_png @ Sep 26 2011, 03:24 AM) im using defy+ 2.3.4 china rom..so much different between defy n defy+..the UI is more attractive and more user friendly.. love more my defy now.. in term the speed more fast..uninstall app also more easy..waiting official malaysia defy+ rom.. Bear in mind,2.3.4 cannot downgrade to froyo even rsd lite flashed.. but if you guys using nandroid restore method upgrade to 2.3.4 can flash back to 2.2 froyo and it wont update the bootloader. Where did you get your defy+? If you said it was fast and all, why bother to flash back to 2.2 right? Or am I missing something?

QUOTE(iamKiet @ Sep 27 2011, 12:48 PM) I think should be the opposite, defy cpu was underclocked from 1ghz to 800mhz,that's why most of our defy can run 1.2ghz steadily, that's already 50% upgrade of our stock cpu So this TI for defy+ could be a 1.5 ghz underclocked to 1 ghz right? Well in theory of course

Waiting for some review from FamousLastWords on the Defy+. Here is a nice review on Defy+ by Stuff. Some review excerpt on the MotoBlur on Defy+ » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « QUOTE It’s both a blessing and a curse. A curse particularly to those who prefer a stock Android experience and because it does seem to affect performance. While things are generally speedy, thanks to the 1GHz processor, certain actions can, once in a while, take an unusual amount of time, like on occasion when opening your app drawer. We would guess this is because of Motoblur.
On the other hand Motoblur offers a few usability improvements over stock Gingerbread, such as the ability to dismiss individual notifications, resizable widgets, reports on data usage and which apps are using the most data. Things that can now be found in ICS.

QUOTE(FamousLastWords @ Nov 10 2011, 02:16 AM) Okay here's my short review. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « The phone is great, a total upgrade from the previous Defy. My battery can last 2 whole days on 2G mode with wifi on all the time, watching Youtube for about 1 hour in between, calls for about 20 minutes in between and text messaging throughout 2 days. Music quality on loudspeaker is quite good. Even better with 3D stereo enabled when using earphones. Size is perfect for a smartphone (I wanted to get the new Droid RAZR but I chose this instead because of the RAZR's size) There's now a "Manage Apps" selection to kill unwanted running apps. Everything else is pretty much the same as the Defy except for the 1ghz and battery life. Even comes with Adobe Flash 10. Best thing about it i'd say is the battery life. I even tested its water resistance with running tap water and still works normally lol. If you're a Defy user, everything is the total same lah. HQ Youtube videos streams and plays like a charm. Dunno what else to say d. But if i can root it and get rid of the MOTOBLUR, it'd be even better n smoother, because I notice some performance slowdowns which i think is because of the MOTOBLUR. Overall it's a great looking phone, perfect sized, and can do almost anything other smartphones can. Can we have some sample picture taken with it? In low light, macro, focus etc. This defy use Bayer lens right?
