Hi,

I am in the situation where I finish repay my car loan. Currently I need to get the release letter from the public bank. However public bank asked me to pay RM115 for stamping fees that I owed the bank. He stated that this stamping fees is for stamping the loan document that I sign initially when i bought the car.

When I asked my parent, they said there is no such thing as stamping fees need to be paid. They used to borrow car loan from public bank too.

So I am confuse right now.

Anybody care to enlighten me?

Thank you.

i went to bank today. that's reimbursement charges. not related to e-batal or stamping fee.

she said can waive the fee if I write a letter to Public Bank requesting it to waive.

subject to HQ approval also.

this is what i call hidden charges. never mention before when i sign the agreement.

great. i tot the bank do the e-batal for you so when you go to jpj, the computer show it is cleared.

anyway, i got the release letter (e-batal transaction form) from the bank already. before i got it, i have written a letter requesting them to waive the fee and it got approved. therefore i don't need to pay a single cent.
