Hi guys,
While I was driving today, I realized that my Myvi yellow MIL indicator is on.. What's the problem? Is it safe for me to drive and send it to check over the weekends or send it ASAP?
Thanks in advance

Usually its the o2 sensor. Mine the same.
Checked with SC and they diagnose it. Good thing bout it....would not harm your engine....Engine can run as usual...but it might kacau your Fuel Consumption a bit. To change the o2 at SC damn expensive. With that...i never change and light still goes on. Already a year.....and no prb so far.....hahahahaha. |

QUOTE(sonyx123x @ Jul 12 2011, 11:19 AM) My car 6 years already I think.. O2 sensor sits at ur exhaust manifold there. Its jobs is to detect how much O2 left after combustion. It will feed back infomation to the ECU to fine tune the air / fuel ratio .. when it is not doing its job @ faulty. The ECU will always have a fail safe mechanism (where by ur air/fuel ratio will run richer @ more fuel) Too lean will kill ur engine (running too hot) .. to save up ur engine .. the ECU will have a richer mixture of air/fuel .. thus FC going down the drain. Is it expensive to change.. Lately my cars fuel consumption damn high.. Full tank 300 max..sometimes cannot reach... if the o2 sensor gone is it dangerous to drive? Changing a new one i think should be around RM400 .. p2 . Added on July 12, 2011, 11:37 amfound the cheapest, maybe secondhand...actually can do yourself very easy...need spanar and becareful with the hot exhaust manifold, wait till it cool down first http://www.mudah.my/Myvi+oxygen+sensor-10547237.htm if secondhand , maybe can last 2-3 years or more...
