anyone had successfully installed this 'Virtuous Unity Sense 3.0 based on Pyramid' ROM? How's the performance? Better than stock?

this is my first time to try install custom rom to my desire. do i need to root my device or just turn to s-off only?

is it a must to root using Gingerbreak if i want to backup all my data and apps? is there any other way coz im bit confuse the gingerbreak process.

Hope to get some feedbacks. Sorry for my noobs. smile.gif

Why is it so hard to find decent phone covers for our Desire S ya? :?

I'm currently using a black Nillkin phone cover. I'm looking for covers that comes in the colour red.

Any suggestions?

Custom ROM usually outperform the stock ROM, I used Virtuous ROM before and it was worth it. But now I'm using hyperion ROM, which is good also.

You DO NOT need to root your device to install custom ROM, no gingerbreak and anything..... "All you need is S-OFF"...

After S-OFF, you get to install custom ROM, and custom ROM is pre-root. Means, after flashing a custom ROM, your phone will be rooted.

Just follow my guide on first page man.

man, i just successfully rooted and installed virtuous! rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif

really satisfy as im doing it myself..yeah,with help of ur guide and others.. notworthy.gif

however, i found a better way to installed it as my stock hboot was 0.98.0002. The guide given at xda practically difficult and unsuccess.

NOTE: For HBOOT 0.98.0002, please use this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1194488. Thanks to slvrbllt

Actually, u just need to install htc driver (latest) to ur pc, then uninstall it. then just use recovery and tada, handsomely s-off! thumbup.gif
