WTF... been away for a couple of days suddenly now can S-Off?? laugh.gif Will try at home later. thumbup.gif

Also it seems that HTC is almost done with their official bootloader unlocking for Evo 3D and Sensation. Desire S will get it much later based on this sentence on facebook.

"We'll continue rolling out the unlocking capability over time to other devices as part of maintenance releases and new shipments."

Disable Fast Boot in Power settings first then try again.

I'm currently trying out Virtuous Unity 1.27.0.

Some minor glitches because it's resized from qHD to WVGA.

Don't really fancy the carousel actually and now the wallpaper is just 800x480 instead 800x960.

Some new options & widgets and updated apps.

Overall very nice if a bit heavy.

In the end i'm using Saga LBC Mod. I guess i still prefer 2.1 home screen. Some tweaks already built in like the CRT effects and circular battery indicator with percentage.

I haven't apply the wifi fix. Or is it built in into the ROM?

I prefer LBC since i still like 2.1 homescreen. But i read that LBC will have 3.0 homescreen later. I just hope that it's optional. Still not ready for other launchers.

I think LBC is snappier since it's based on DS ROM instead of Virtuous which is based on Sensation ROM.

IMO it feels quite slow even though Quadrant reports around 2K with 1.2GHz default kernel OC. With LBC i get around 1800 in Quadrant which makes sense because it's not OCed.

Stock ROM can only get around 1300. sweat.gif

Maybe need to give them some time to optimize it and resize everything properly. Some things still looks weird to me. The built in screenshot function is useful though.

Added some screenies. biggrin.gif

This LBC ROM is based on Telstra ROM which is Australian but the guy making the ROM is German so i find it to be a bit weird.

But almost everything runs perfectly, even GPS. Kinda don't make sense that Euro ROM can't detect satellite in our area.

I'm so fed up with the gps of this phone! If i disable the location determined by Wifi/mobile network option,

solely dependent on the gps satellites signal to determine my location, it seems to take forever to detect my location!

Should go to the htc customer care centre to fix it? or is it the problem everyone encounters with this phone??? =(
*
Kinda common problem but usually fixed if you use GPS Fix or similar apps.

which one is faster and better. Hydrogen Mod or ZuluGen??

please advise.
*
Hydrogen feels faster i think. Maybe because of the lightweight launcher.

Tried Zulugen for a short while. It uses either Launcher Pro or ADW by default.
