Can replace the cover only. He's talking about the LED light pecah but the LED still working. The plastic piece is a complete separate piece from the side mirror. I've taken it apart before.

Sound? erm.. If everything remains stock then it will sound a bit like tin kosong because the exhaust flow is increased..
Not entirely true. When the stock extractor is removed together with the catcon, the new extractor that doesn't come with cat con have a slightly increased exhaust flow, yet the stock S-flow is not smooth & large enough to accomodate this air flow, thus causing vibrations & resonations in the midbox and causing the tin kosong noise.

Yeah, got improved a lot than the stock one. But when i stick at 1st time. the door damn hard to close. Need to bang the door quite hard and can hear the sound out side clearly. Plan to take it off at 1st.. but i let it for 1 week and see how. Now the sponge already mampat and fit fit with the door. Now i hardly hear outside motorist sound already.  :D
Got one time i send my car to a car wash, the boss also drive PE. When after vacuum inside, he close the door and the sound was solid. He curious then he open and close again for a few times.  :sweat:

Yoko A drive ka? Ok lah. Darn cheap, RM 170 per piece can get (latest price). Not as silent and grippy as C-drive, but adequate. Much better than stock tyres (goodyear, silverstone).

Dunlop D01? Ok lah. Grip is there but together with the road noise. Bridgestone depends which model u take. I tried Potenza RE001 so far, damn nice grip and damn silent while new. Although road noise become more & more apparent like 5-7k KMs down the line, but grip never disappointed me once.
No lah.. I don't run with the pack wan.. :hehe: I'mma lone ranger..

Chamber nut is not necessary when u met an accident or u knock ur tires against the curb at the roadside.. If not its all can be adjusted back.. Just rmb to do alignment every 10-15k km.. So the chamber nut doesnt get too worn out while being out of alignment.

Ada.. Got magnatec fully sync 5W-30 A5 one.. Just that they never bring it in into msia only.. Or they probably bring it in in very small quantities.. If ur car engine is still new then no probs using 30grade oil as the piston oil ring seal should still be good.. When ur engine is old and the ring has worn out then u need thicker grade oil.. Unless u overhaul ur engine lah.
Kesas got a few corners that is quite sharp and u cant take it with high speed with stock tires like mine..
yeah.. i think jasondotcom did use 30grade oil for his persona.. He got it from Toyota..

I'm wondering if 5W30 suitable for Campro. Very hot ler. Hotter than those Japs wan. So wonder 30 can tahan the heat or not, wait viscosity too thin, piston wall habis...

So I think 10W40 might be the safest and most balance bet.

yeah definitely.. 30 will give u more power as the oil is more thinner and lesser friction for ur pistons..
the 40 and 30 is not the weight of the oil.. Its the viscosity or thickness of the oil at 90 degree operating temp.
30 grade oil will be more thinner then 40grade oil at the same temp..
magnatec around 100, can get at giant, tesco etc.. Fully sync can try Edge, magnatec fully sync, Eneos etc.. The magnatec 5w-30 should be good.. Since my semi magnatec can last really well.. Currently ady more than 8k mileage using semi oil. Still can maintain smoothness.. But engine feeling wee bit heavier ady..
as long as do not exceed by 1k km from the expected service mileage then ok ady..
the PE have a more slanted seats at the back.. So its slightly more comfortable.. Mb u shd tell ur family members to sit in one and try and see..
u need to press the volume knob for like 1-2secs then only it will on.. It wont on by just clicking it once.

I am not into auto & those extra's ( abs+ ebd, rear disc brake , passenger airbag) in Hi-Line seems worth it.

I'm wondering abt CVT. CVT gearbox are very expensive, remember the City's CVTs, costing near 30K a piece. CVT are general fragile, so how can Proton cover the cost of it for under 50K cars.

If installed in Saga, sure lots of ppl abused it...can Proton tahan the cost of replacing them under warranty?

As usual, I won't envy the ppl buying it. Maybe after at least half life and next FL after that where most critical transmission issue has been solved..then can consider.

Remember those the 1st gen PE, then next FL, improve quite a few things...so always wait for mid-life FL to get a more stable ride. Same happens with cars of other made...

hehe.. No worries.. our thread promotes discussion of anything under the sun.. Even cheoing also.. haha.. The 2nd rims is 5hole.. Cant fit ur car.. Our car specs is 4hole 114.3PCD.. So u can only find rims with 4hole and PCD114.3 or 8hole.. 8hole normally comes with PCD 100 and 114.3..

I dont think so.. The demand for manual doesnt seems high enough for them to put a H-line with manual specs.. Btw since Saga 1.3FLx is coming with 6speed CVT gearbox.. Do expect the Persona to be equipped with it in the very near future too..

Yeah.. CVT transmission have the rubber band effect.. and if u were to turbocharged it, the surge of torque when the boost kicks in will easily tear the band.. And rmb CVT and not suited for long distance or high rev engine.. It will spoilt prematurely.. AFAIK the Honda CVT had problems when the V-tec kicked in and caused durability and lag issues.. Thats y they junked it..
Mb they want to sell it to the mass market.. If ppl were to buy 1.6saga and not the Persona they would assume that the fella mb young fnf fella.. So CVT might have durability issues..

Nope.. They are running the normal 5-speed auto in the current city.. The previous city was using the 7-speed CVT..
If add dual clutch the transmission loss will be so little we can gain almost 20whp from there itself.. but the price also will probably go up by 20k.. 

Thats y i trying to find the taiwan made ones.. But all those taiwan ones comes with either 7 spoke or thin 6 spoke.. I want the spoke to be wide like the ones in the pics..
Tried searching in the garage ady.. But those TE-37 that are available are all 5 hole specs.. 

Yeah.. thin spoke then can see my stock and tiny non slotted, non cross-drilled, 2 pot non Brembo brakes ady.. 
And somemore i dont like slowing down at humps and there are too many potholes in KL.. The one in the pic is Ori TE-37.. Cost around 3k+

Pickup will be affected lah.. But top speed surely will increase.. That time u turbocharged or install Hi-cam then can increase a lot of power ady..
Yeah i have seen a few Persona with Pegasus b4.. Quite a few are on the road.. Very easy to spot too..
U want to know how bumpy 18" is then go test drive Lancer GT.. THe ori one of cos.. Not the buatan msia punya.    

The pegasus looks like a block.. I dont think u can even see the brakes inside it too.. 
Yeah the nissan CVT is quite ok.. Mb they use the Latio CVT transmission.. Not really good IMO (in my opinion).. I went and test drove the nissan latio ady.. Not nice to drive, severely underpowered, very light and bouncy and the interior is super cheapo looking.. 
FnF means fast and furious.. haha..
brakes have these pistons which presses the brake pads onto the disc.. The more pots there is the more power it has lah.. 2pots is the minimum u can go.. high performance ones like evo's have 6pot.. The highest i have ever seen is 12pot..

Saga itu carburettor engine.. those old engines are suited for higher rons..
Nope.. My car mileage is 21k km ady.. Except for my 3rd tank, all the way i was using RON95.. No problems.. We have tested all the petrol brands available, only RON95.. The best petrol for power is Caltex Techron 95.. very good power but FC is a bit higher. The best balance for power and FC is Esso 95..

Should I be worried if my service bill was only RM48?

i'm view it at ystd ady..the car got SAT button..tat function is can simulate as u can feel the gear change,same as new altis cvt..but saga flx one,u can deactivate SAtT to change to normal cvt(without feel d gear change) or activate the SAT button

i tailgate one camry 2.0 b4 tis at lekas..tat time i was 3rd car,1st is vios and 2nd is camry..i;m cruising around 120kmh,the vios and camry was increase their speed then i tried to follow..till the 160kmh,the camry and me was change tomiddle lane to overtake the vios,then i'm tried to chase the camry..until 190kmh camry still cant drag the distance between it and my car..tat time my car onli change drop in filter and iridium plug..b4 tis i'm oso always tailgate the lancer GT wit speed 180 above lo..maybe lancer GT speed cut ady it cant outrun me lo

I have never heard of any CVT having any problems when VTEC kick in. I'm quite active in TeamCity club before and there is absolutely no prob with CVT vs VTEC. Some Audi's are using CVTs, high rev engine no prob. There's many type of CVTs. For City, the CVT are meant for FCs, not high revving.

The main reason Honda junk the CVT is not becoz of premature spoilage. It's more becoz most Asian (thats the target market of City) on this target market, the younger to 30s market prefer a more revvy transmission. Honda CVT does not give any satisfaction of revving as it control it tightly for max torque vs Fc balance. Its a bit more fragile vs the avg auto tranny.

FYI, the new Altis is using CVTs, so does many of other bigger cc and larger segment cars that usually goes long distance as well, just not revvy type.

The rubber band affect are mostly due to the above mentioned tight control to balance max torque vs fc, thus for most ppl that are used to auto way of tekan minyak and tekan more than it really needs to, the car will pull back to suit the smooth raising for torque/fc increment thus the so-call lag.

If you sit in my City while I'm driving, you can never feel any lag nor rubber band effect, coz if you know how to drive the way CVT are meant to be driven, albeit slower 0-100 increment (less revvy), the torque is there fully.

Unfortunately for Honda, the misjudge the way most Asian at 30s or less drive...unlike those in Japan where CVT were used a lot for FC saving and smooth driving.

btw. Honda used the wrong ATF for CVT tranny early on thus lots of CVT failed during the earlier generation of City's CVT. These failures gave a bad impression on the durability of CVT tranny. Most of those tranny that used the corrected CVTF a year or 2 later has very little failure rate. Also similar to failure rate of avg auto tranny.

Oic.. I tested the Slyphy last time.. Damn that transmission.. press press like no kick.. But it will hold the revs and the speed will rise gradually only.. But the Latio hatch that car transmission feels like its even more laggy than Persona.. U cant feel any power at all..
He is in Xan's 'shoes' now.. so always belakang mari.. 

How much about PERSONA 2nd hand? rm 20000 can get?

Depends on year and specs.. 20k too low ady.. try to get the Persona with IAFM.. so its much more powerful and fuel efficient.

Even though the slyphy rev is at the optimum band, u dont feel the power of it accelerating, the g-force etc.. Something just doesnt feel right.
