Great to see this thread growing by the day. Wow, blue stripes for MU away kit, did look a bit like Inter's kit.

Hmm, just i aware if i opts for resend, then the parcel going to miss again, then KB still willing to refund/resend? i have no choice to select Royal Mail cuz my order more than 50GBP, i think probably will get tax if used UPS..
*
Even if you use royal mail, there are chances that your package will get tax. In this instance, you might need to check with pos Malaysia.

i lost my 2 package with UD.. and contact pos m'sia regarding this matter.. as usual they said they don't know if u use standard royal mail..

Will feel the ache if I lost a package, with 2, don't think can take it. Perhaps used Courier the next time? Speaking of which, my brother also ordered something from KB and up till today haven't reached yet. He's also using the Standard Delivery. Hopefully not lost in Pos Malaysia.

you have to account for the safety of your free shipping which is regular mail without tracking code. If you think you wont have problem with missing parcel due to negligent/dishonest postman, or theft from mailbox, then feel free to go online coz it definitely is cheaper than RRP in Malaysia.
*
My brother also got 2 of that kits with NN and unfortunately, the shipment got lost. He got a replacement from Kitbag though.

There shouldn't be any problem shipping 1 or even 2 kits from Kitbag, just have to make sure it's below RM500.

Btw, is that Player Size/Replica Size batch on the kit?

@VDS1

Could be due to exposure to sunlight/fluorescent lighting....

faiz, i want to call UD. i'm using maxis. which number i want to call them? and what time? TQ
*
You should call them around this time, since UK is -7 hours from our time. If you are using Maxis lime, should be calling +44 845 456 4933 from your HP.

in my email they said to call this number 0161 868 8000 (option 1, then 4). so, the number that u give is the same line as what they give? TQ
*
The no I found is from the UD website.

With your no, try dropping the 0 in front.

I would still go for express as the convenience of having the courier company doing the taxes for you.

The only thing with Royal Mail is that there's chances that it will go missing, or if your amount is taxable, it will be just waiting at the local post/customs until you search for it to rectify/pay taxes.

So far, using UPS, I have been taxed once before, mainly due to my own mistake in calculating the prices. But the item always came in good condition and fast.

My bro's first time buying from kitbag, his item went missing as it's under the free shipping promo. Hence kitbag resend again and fortunately, the 2nd time it arrived. Not a very good experience.

Do post Malaysia inform you that you're package is being withheld because of taxes? because my current order is missing twice. My experience is exactly the same as your bro, unfortunately my resend order is also missing.
Yup, I've listed down all the dispute cases and understand that there is a high case of my re-resend order getting taxes, its either that or i ask them to send by Royal Mail... which might get lost again. 3 lost in transit orders - must be some kind of record this.
*
Nope, no information provided by Pos Malaysia. So if possible, I would suggest upgrading the postage to UPS since at least you are able to track it down.

Just to add, I've also experience missing item using Royal Mail, when I'm trying to get a NN from UK, it was just lost at that time.

Received 2 MU jerseys today from JJB after I ordered them last week. A friend brought back from the UK for me. They got my orders wrong.

I ordered a Rooney 10 for myself and a plain jersey for female. They sent me a plain male jersey and a Rooney 10 female jersey. Grrr what should I do?
*
You can either do the printing yourself here in KL for the plain kit and get your female friend to wear the Rooney kit. Or if not, send it back to UK to claim.

90 pounds is about rm450 so it's a bit borderline of tax/no tax by customs

@chcher

What you mean by the postage is confirmed at RM280? This applicable even if getting 1/2 kits?

currently there is a new customs calculation for the shipping charges is fixed at rm280.

so the rm500 limit - rm280 = rm220 for your jerseys/items.
please be warned.
i believe it's been discussed before.
*
I saw the jerseyman posted about it a while ago, didn't really noticed it.
So Kitbag UK are doing this for UPS delivery..hmm....like that won't be much difference if buying at retail.

I have bought 2 kits from chelseamegastore early July but as I read, it's not impacted since they are using DHL. Is that the case?

as far as im aware DHL doesnt adopt that calculation. So far only UPS.

And from a fellow forummer here, appears if delivered to Penang, also wont kena. All other cases the result is about the same. Then again you never know KB may change again their practice.
*
Thanks for the info. But this is only impacting for UPS and not on normal postage from KB right?

PS: To Faiz in reading, perhaps FAQ can amend to include the UPS postage issue? No worries it is not illegal as there is no discussion on avoiding tax. It is just a reminderto interested purchasers to know the tax limit in planning their purchases. If not the question will be brought up again and again - i think in this thread alone half the messages are on the UPS tax issue tongue.gif

Cheers

This would be useful even for me who purchased and used UPS before. It's not until nimrod mentioned it that I understand that you have written it before a few pages back.

Interested in ur reply as I have never heard anything like this before..have u any experience? Mind to share if possible?

It's a bit OOT, but briefly, you will be giving a local address in UK/Europe/Japan and can send the item to that address. You made payment then the company will forward back it to you.
