I have 2 sgs2 syncing into one laptop. Plug in mine Kies recogised as GT-I9100. But i don dare to plug in my wife sgs2 into Kies as I afraid it will recognised as my phone i.e. GT-I9100. Then all my info and her info will mess up . Anybody got any advice?

Google but only said change device name under bluetooth setting.


Got it!!! Right click mouse on device name in Kies, then type in new name ! This is the fun part being a 1st time android user. Explore, explore and explore.

I like the weather widget (ori stock ROM) but after i updated files in samsung apps replaced by stupid ugly new weather widget !

i have the same problem. Just figured out. Go to setting>application>manage application>uninstall updated weather widget> original widget will restore.

Uncle Benny, May I know how do download the new Market? Not sure mine is new or old. Come with stock ROM.

Will download and try. The search function in the Old Market reallly suks. Can not give me the search that i wanted but when i tried in my PC, the search appeared.


Did once to purchase Cut the Rope from Android Market in PC. Apps directly downloaded to my phone. I suggest once you made the purchase clear you payment method just in case. i.e don save it as the default payment to avoid unitentional purchase.

Since i got my sgs2, i did all the necessary prevention to avoid battery drain like installing Juice Defender and Advance Task Killer. I do not care how fast does the battery drain as long as it is not like within two hours of normal use the battery is flat then it is ok for me. Just want to do whatever i want to sgs2 and enjoy the potential of the phone.

By the way my wife sgs2 freeze and hang twice since last week. Will do a factory reset as suggested by Uncle Benny in V5 or V6. I do use search function .

Anybody know how to directly syn google calendar to sgs2 stock calendar? Googled and tried but events in google calendar not appearing in stock calendar.

Anyboe can help?

New event i believe it can sync but i want to syn friends' birthday and Malaysia's Public Holiday to stock calendar via google calendar. Already setup google calendar. Sigh....

Sorry where to enable the mobile sync function? Have log in to gmail and try under setting but cant find the mobile syne function.

Pls advice coz i see lights at the end of the tunnel......

Have done all the steps provided.

1. Mobile setup done at google calendar (i tot this enable notification?)

2. Phone settings done. Account and Sync>Sync Google> Options sync mail or contact or calendar. Tap sync calendar only new event i created as dummy sync to google calander at PC but BIrthday and PH at google calendar PC not sync to Phone

Friends Birthday click add then show up as per above, click "more" to select contacts birthday.

If you are a sports fan click add then show up as per above, click "sports" you can subcribe BPL Calendar by Team.
