This is very curious if true. Will render all the other 1% increment battery indicators practically inaccurate then.

That's either BS, or they're just bending the laws of physics. The MOST you can get W/O increasing the size is 1800mah IMHO.

Anyway, I've seen reviews for it on the net, and I'll stand by my policy of only trusting Sedio, Mugen and Momax when it comes to 3rd party batteries.

Just finished modding my SGS2, again. After mixing and matching everything, now running semi-fullblack UI on VR2.0, just have to mod the stock browser.

Just checking, when you guys wipe dalvik, do you get the "cannot mount volume (/sd-ext)" error? I forgot if this was here before.

Yes and no. It might be personal preference to support Jack Sparrowing, but we don't do that here.

Besides, you can sideload APKs even without rootlar.

Interesting, you guys care to tell me which 3g/2g toggle works to toggle between 3g/edge rather then:

a) Just shutting down data.
b) Just going to the menu - which I can do myself.

ALL the widgets I found only did the two above.

Tried, it can't switch 3g-edge either.

Checked, widgetsoid DOES NOT toggle 3g. Will try out the cm7 thing.

Translucent hard plastic back with moulded TPU sides, one piece. Haven't tested it yet, but confirm it will fit snugly - no antenna hole means it's for international SGS2s.

1: Yep. SUPER fast, SUPER hot (especially on WIFI, maybe that's why all the newcomers are bising about it being hot). Cam is ok but, as all backside un-illuminated (dark butt, lol) sensors, lowlight performance is crap. We have macro AF problems too.

2. Stuff is a hundred times worse on an unjailbroken
IPhone. At least we have quicktoggles in the nottibar even w/o root. But I degress, I actually kinda agree, UI wise, until Googs decide to implement HW acceleration in the base UI itself, we are still gonna lag (haha) a bit behind. Also, we have a problem with base uniformity, which is confusing the hell out of newcomers.

Yea yea, close everything, kill rogues, undelvolt, SetCPU. Sure, the more technically inclined can do all this (and in some cases, still get shit battery life), what about normal users?

Samsung made a bad move making this thing as thin as it is. I STILL think that if they made the back level (rather then tapering to thin), they could have fit at least a 2000mah battery (an actual one, not the china mari onea) inside.

But in the end, all that being said, the SGS2 is still a great phone, a landmark step forward for both Samsung and Android as a whole. Hopefully though, them idiots will stop racing to put more cores in and start making the ones already inside run longer without dying.

Oh and enough bs about turning 3G off, it's like buying a Ferarri and saying "don't go above 50mph okay".

I agree, EDGE is good enough for MOST tasks, but do you know that in certain conditions, EDGE has a nasty tendency to block SMSes and calls from coming in while data is active? Read up on GPRS classes.

It's not a phone thing, it's a telco thing. It happened with my Nokias (E71, N97, 5800, N900) and my iPhone 4 - it WIILL happen with the SGS2 unless Celcom decides to CLASS A all their EDGE transmitters.

AND no, Maxis is NOT the answer, not with their current cekik darah billing practices.

Anyway, WHERE IS MY BATTERY CASE SAMSUNG OII. I bought the SGS2 because YOU were supposed to make a battery extender case for it.
