Uncle Benny, was checking *#0*# went to sensor and they said that the magnetic thing need to be calibrated. I went to Gyro and Horizontal and its fine but is there anything to be worried about?
*
Just go download the free app "Compass" . Launch it and it will prompt you to wave the phone in figure 8. Do it few times - check your compass the direction - if is working should be ok
You can test again *#0*# myou should not see the warning message anymore

Your file could be corrupted . Check it at PC and see whether you can successfully extract it

Just switch it off. Go to recovery mode

At Advanced : clear dalvik - boot back to recovery
Clear cache partition
Clear data/factory reset

Than select zip

Before you try again, do check whether your downloaded zip is successful download : at computer test it by unzipping it

Usually bootup after flash will take few minutes ; it should not exceed 10 mins

In the Xperia Arc group , on this subject one user even tell me , so poor now after buying phone - few ringgit can help buy a meal and he has no more money to buy apps
I don't know whether he is serious or meant it to be a joke. But seriously if a RM2k phone is above budget and everyday have to count the few ringgit to survive - I pity him. He can still enjoy Androids on a lower cost phone

You were not clear ; you flash the LIteninhg update zip ??? You can only flash this from recovery provided you have Litening 2.0 installed on phone

If you are moving from another rom : use odin to flash Litening 2.0 ; than only use recovery to flash the update zip file

This is agood one. Another worth considering is the free app Note Everything - this has a additional bonus you can input by just writing on screen ( several colour and point sizes)

Few days back some users were asking how to make their SMS when is above 4 not to auto convert to MMS. The solution is here - ONLY for roms that are deodexed :

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread...4&highlight=MMS

Flash the zip file from CWM. Features are:

No AutoConverting messages to MMS after 4 SMS.
In my mod, it will be converted to MMS after 200 SMS.
Possible to add to the message 200 contacts instead of 20 contacts.

plastic oso got many different types
*
This is quoted from samsungHUB:

The cover uses a new 0.1mm 'Hyperskin' material that has miniscule patterns of 3,000 connected chains. This pattern is very practical as it also prevents scratches, finger prints, and slips.
I would add further this " plastic" can be bend nearly 180 degree and it will not break - tell me which phone " plastic " cover can do that ?

Install free app system panel. Launch it and check cpu speeds actuslly running. Do not be suprised that cpu speed is running at 400 to 600mhz and at idile around 200-300mhz only. The phone never always at 1.2 ghz
using setcpu forces it to run at cpu speeds according to one needs only.

benny..after i've done all the steps above..i reboot and found the litening rom 2.2 still there..it is suppose to be like that?..so then i just flash to the litening rom?
*
Of course unchange. You only tidy up your caches and clean data. So now you can flash any new rom through odin or thro clockworkmod recovery

My papago X5 ( original version ) consistently takes 3-5 secs to have GPS lockup irrespective where I go. If you guys using those ahem type, don't expect too much. there are many ahem versions on internet - one of my friend has a good one, perfect while some of others has given up using and bought original from m3shoppe - after that no more complains

Benny,

How can I transfer or sync my Contacts, Calendar, Notes in Microsoft Outlook with SGS2 ?
*
Best and easiest way , no headache fruss free, 100 % reliable and accurate:

USE = The Missing Sync for Android ($39.95; www.markspace.com) syncs calendars, contacts, tasks, and notes

This sync software is very very good - worth every sen I paid for it. It is so good I bought it previously for Symbian, Blackberry and Androids too on my MAC. There have aversion for Windows too

Or try this ( I never used before but highly recommended ) : http://www.companionlink.com/android/

Free way, tedious -= use export Contacts in CSV format to Gmail and sync from gmail ; for calendar use Google calendars
