For singaporean this property consider so cheap for them.
in their own city easily 3-4 times the price.

I think seri maya all phases fully completed near to 1,500 units but the surrounding is well kept and very spaces , you don't feel cramp at all. Still quite a hot pick for expat rclxms.gif

S’ngor allows PKNS to proceed with Datum Jelatek project

The Selangor government has insisted that it will allow the Selangor State Economic Development Corporation (PKNS) to proceed with the project to build the Datum Jelatek luxury condominiums at Jalan Jelatek, Kampung Datuk Keramat.

Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim said, however, the state goverment would take into consideration the views and doubts of the residents onthe status of the construction of the condominiums before the project was implemented fully.

“We have already held discussions with the PKNS and it had already givenexplanations on the construction of the condominiums.

“Through the discussions, the state government will certainly give anopportunity to PKNS to proceed with the project…while taking intoconsideration the doubts of the local community,” he told reporters afterattending the State Exco meeting, here today.

He said that the project would also not be developed on Malay Reserve Landas claimed by certain parties.

“This is not Malay Reserve Land, I have been told by PKNS that the landbelongs to the state government and 70 per cent of the housing units will besold to the Malays while the rest will be sold to other races,” he said.

The Datum Jelatek Project that would be built on a 5.5-acre (2.2 hectares)land had previously been said to be a redevelopment project of the low-costhousing area in Jalan Jelatek after all the residents, who were mostly Malays,had been moved out and given a small compensation.

However, the project was said to have “changed” into a proposal to developfour exclusive buildings comprising offices, a hotel and a shopping centre targeted for the high-income group and corporate sector.

Meanwhile, commenting on the gathering by about 200 single mothers,housewives and senior citizens in Section 7, here this morning to demand for theallowance promised by the opposition pact during the 2008 general election,Abdul Khalid said the people of Selangor had the right to make any demand.

“There’s no obstacles for the people to make demands as long as they areeligible for it. Nonetheless, we will make a review on this group because some of them had already received aid from the tithe fund (Lembaga Zakat Selangor)and the Social Welfare Department and thus we don’t want any double standard here,” he said.
