What I mean was, the actual bridge structure. The beams and supporting columns sure made out of reinforced concrete. From the pictures, only the polystyrene exterior fixtures has hollow interior, logical since the polystyrene fixture only need small steel structure to hold it together..

I am hoping that is true..

it's ok lah for rm7.6 juta jambatan polystyrene. if they din use poly as deco, harga boleh cecah > rm10 juta. main tukar-tukar poly bila rosak boleh songlap juta-juta lagi ma. profit!

kualiti also no need too good, if not cannot songlap further from maintenance

When I replied, I din see the cracked concrete. That I agreed is serious but on the poly deco, it's just a deco unless as you said or proven that deco can cost millions, than it will be interesting biggrin.gif

Those deco is so common mah..Even those Malls using poly as faked rocks & etc..Dirt cheap to replace & re-decorate accordinmg to festivals...The cracked concrete is the one serious not the deco part smile.gif

if the bridge is really made of polysterene, and it can normal load of cars or ppl passing, that's an engineering feat to be proud of.

and if it's just a decoration, what's the fuss about? if they made it from concrete and wire mesh, you guys will still complaint over the costs too.

sometimes, msian just don't know what they want. just oppose anything for the sake of opposing.

That polystyrene itself is only meant for decoration purposes not for supporting the whole structure.

Then again, polystyrene for decoration???? ingat ni sukaneka skolah ke??

at least use high quality wood or something la

i thought the part is used as support for the bridge ... but the bridge is short, therefore support is not required ...

still, deco are supposed to be nice to look at ... if there's no maintenance and it starts to fall off, might as well do away with it and save some cost ...

i understand that the poly part is for the deco. but to use poly as deco IMO is for short term only. if they want to make it nice, please la do it properly, dont just for short term only. poly structure like this will not hold more that 2 years base on our weather. after this, sure they will appoint another contractor to repair it and the cost surely will very high.
