but the 8120 dont scale very well, 4.3Ghz hard to boot already. if yours the same, then its not my chip lemon then 

and might hurt the mosfets also. thats the part that i very sked.

the power this chip draws is too much.. sked the mosfets cant take it. if thuban/deneb i dont really care... 1.55v for daily usage FTW

actually what matter most is d board. pop a lemon chip onto a decent board, u mite still be able to squeeze some MHz outta it, pop a decent chip onto a crappy board & u get close to nothing... 

stable vcore for 4.4ghz is how many v?

for decent 8150 it should be below 1.4v.

yup bro, unless ur a die hard amd fans. not much improvement still ok, but thuban/deneb pwns fx clock to clock in most tests. 

but still, fx are fun chips to play with... only concern is power draw & one need a mobo with strong pwm.

GA-M55S-S3, AMD 64 X2 4200+, Kingston DDR2 2G.

There plenty of advice on what to do with multipliers and dividers on CPU, HT etc, but on my mobo, there's only the "CPU clock ratio" (x11) - and no other options.

All the other adjustable BIOS options are to do with voltages, ranging from +0.025V to +0.37V.

I've increased the "CPU frequency" to 218Mhz, but any higher it will not post.

What can I look at next?

There are no options to lower the memory multiplier or ratio.

So what exactly do you mean by "lower your memory".  As I said, there are no other multipliers to change on this mobo BIOS.

These are all the options I have:

cpu frequency mhz: 200 - 500
pcie clock mhz: 100 - 200
cpu clock ratio: 5 - 11
ddr2 voltage control: +0.025V - +0.275 white +0.300V - +0.475V red
chipset/pcie voltage: +0.025V - +0.375V
ht link voltage: +0.025V - +0.375V
cpu ht-link voltage: +0.025V - +0.375V
cpu voltage control: 1.5500V - 0.8000V
