actually you guys should feel fortunate to be able to stay back in the office.
my job here start at 9-6pm, everyday will leave at 6pm sharp. feel very bored and useless because the company doesn't need us to stay back.
which also means that you got not much things to do and even without you, there is no lost to the company.
*
dont you have activities you want to do? jogging, chat with family, hangout with bf/gf?

Hey guys, I wanted to ask is it normal to have 7 days annual leave only in Singapore? Every year increase by 2 days.

I got a job offer but the salary like 20% lower than my expectation but still acceptable for me. However, they only give 7 days annual leave which is the major drawback for me.

Anyone heard of Adriot Instrumentation PTE LTD? I wonder is this a big company with good future?
*
i thought minimum is 14?.... mine is 14 and +1 every year after until max 24... but my company is observing msian holis rclxms.gif

QUOTE(mercury8400 @ Aug 11 2011, 03:24 PM)
Fresh grad in SG expect more than SGD3,500 per month for starting salary???? Unless they are first class grads, the rest can forget about it..... stop dreaming...
*
i believe 2nd class is expecting that as well.... a good yardstick for fresh grad's salary is the SAF's paygrade of course minus allowance
QUOTE(deodorant @ Aug 11 2011, 03:27 PM)

mind me asking what field you are currently working in?
*
lets say u r in US and you are trying to get employed with an aussie bachelors... it will be hard for vice versa as well... in sg, everybody knows nus/nus/smu, sutd is a good choice as well... so if you have a msc from there... you're good to go
i am holding clerk position.
QUOTE(coffeebreak @ Aug 12 2011, 03:06 PM)
@.@ get a scholarship from? if getting MSc from NUS helps then i would consider that path.
why you call him useless ROFL
EDIT: is the MSc cum scholarship thing apply for all field? or just that field you know of?

Added on August 12, 2011, 3:09 pmThere are no graduates from ACCA, only holders of it.
*

oh sorry, holders of ACCA then and possibly a masters degree as well.
*
from whoever that gives it to you... do try out ntu/smu/sutd aswell... cause he made his partner (a top student) to just pass because he didnt play any part in the group assg that was near finals while he scored the highest in the class

I don't know about that. SMU seems overly fond of publicising the salaries of their graduates based on "informal surveys" and sound bites from one or two exceptional outliers who were rounding up their salaries to the closest 10K.
*
that's a good marketing ploy... no? i would say its a good way of attracting potential students and as well as to promote their standings

i thought u guys had the last one on the east side? hmm.gif hardrock not on the east side meh? or rather central..
QUOTE(seantang @ Aug 13 2011, 02:04 PM)
Yup. The students are drawn like bees to honey. Employers though, are thoroughly skeptical... especially when SMU has absolutely no pedigree to back up those students who naively believe that it's the school (rather than the quality of the student) that motivates employers to offer 5 figure freshie salaries.
*
there's certainly somekind of justification for employers to pay them that much... smu only offers business degrees and singapore being more of a financial hub now which offers services that comes with higher profit margin, no doubt these people gets paid higher
