QUOTE(seantang @ Jul 9 2011, 10:17 PM) Took the plunge and got the Galaxy S II from Samsung in Ipoh. RM2099 RRP... which is about S$850 (@2.45) compared to S$998 from Samsung outlets and S$890 from online websites like Whymobile and Mobilesquare etc. but generally, you have to compromise for the warranty if you buy in MY right? unless you go to JB should you need the warranty later. |

QUOTE(Mackiddo @ Jul 10 2011, 07:37 PM) there is no $2 and $3 coupon, at least not anymore. only 50cents, $1 and $4 (night parking) if you're carrying it into MRT, make sure it's non peak hours. otherwise, i cant even imagine how you gonna carry it inside MRT.Added on July 10, 2011, 7:40 pm i wonder some new HDB blocks without kedai runcit one how ? can carry into MRT if you get it from other place ? |

QUOTE(yunghui @ Jul 13 2011, 09:14 PM) work pass. you just have to apply for job. once you're offered, your employer will certainly apply for you. they will decide which type of work pass to apply and subject to ministry of manpower's approval. |

QUOTE(seantang @ Jul 17 2011, 07:27 PM) DBS acquired POSB yonks ago. As far as retail banking goes, you can conduct any transaction for accounts with either bank at branches & ATMs of either bank. POSB account holders use DBS' internet banking website. Most people have a POSB account because they had lots of heartland branches and ATMs during the Post Office Bank era. I use POSB for my salary because the ATMs are everywhere. What I don't use I bank into CIMB as their savings account interest ratw is the highest. thanks seantang. i guess i will use POSB too. |

QUOTE(yezhacolic @ Jul 18 2011, 08:53 PM) Additional information from my friend. He stressed that must have work permit/employment pass to stay in singapore. if the landlord doesnt provide official agreement, i doubt you'll face any problem provided that you can pay 1 month deposit + 1 month rental on the spot.Further no one will dare to rent it without all these thing. unless u get a permit from a company then u're allow to rent. How true is this statement? |

DBS/POSB internet banking requires us to get a number from the 'token' for security purpose whenever we want to log in. isnt that mean we have to carry that thing wherever we go if i want to use internet banking elsewhere.

QUOTE(WyjSwmW @ Aug 7 2011, 01:59 PM) Hi guys, AirAsia. by right Tiger is the cheapest for the fare alone but convenient fee makes it more expensive than AirAsia. For you guys who travel often from SG-KL-SG, which flight you guys recommend? I only need the cheapest flight. The pro and cons:- 1) AirAsia (can save u convienient fee as you can pay via Maybank2u) 2) Tiger Airways (the cheapest sometimes but cannot use maybank2u, charge u convienient fee) 3) JetStar (the most comfortable but cannot use maybank2u, charge u convienient fee) 4) Firefly (not convienient bcos near arrive in Subang) |

QUOTE(alaskanbunny @ Aug 7 2011, 11:48 PM) by default is sms i think... my POSB by default is token. i wish it's by sms. i have opposite thinking with you. it's more convenient not to carry the token if i'm going abroad. as long as international roaming in enabled, it should not have problem receiving sms overseas.i prefer token cause i go to other countries and sms might not be able to reach.. |
