Porn is totally legal here...
This is why the SG gomen did not ban the new URL standard for eg: www.fark.xxx (new .xxx for porn sites in 2012 instead of .com)
Prostitute is oso legal in SG.

But in Malaysia, all are illegal. Malaysia BOLEH
*
Dont think so, porn sites are banned by the MDA which is under the government.

Prostitution is legal, how come porn not? tongue.gif

Plus they are showing porn movie in cinema Sex and Zen 3D soon.

A waste of money if you tell me to watch that movie, better to see jennifer aniston in horrible bosses. Now thats hot.

You have to think like a chinaman businessman, you cant earn money from downloadable porn but you certainly can make it by being a pimp.

Visiting pornographic websites and viewing their content is not an offence in Singapore, although it is deemed illegal to provide and/or supply any form of pornography from within the country. It is also an offence to be in possession of pornographic material.

If that is the case, then why does MDA block those streaming websites since your not downloading the content, only viewing it from that site?

The last time i tried i get starhubs mda message. Must be starhubs policy of being a d***.

At least starhubs service is good during black ops.

Starhub is blocking it on behalf of MDA which is part of a government body. So doesnt this contradict the governments policy/rule to not block such sites when an arm of the government is requesting ISP to block it?

Likening PAP with UMNO is a bloody joke - they are light years apart when it comes to administering a country.

QUOTE
Viewing and downloading pornography online in Singapore would not appear to be a punishable offense. From Singapore's Media Development Authority's (MDA) website, "The MDA does not monitor or track users' access to any sites on the Internet and does not interfere with what individuals access in the privacy of their homes. We are primarily concerned with the purveyors and distributors of pornography. Unless you engage in such activities, the mere act of visiting such sites is not an offence."

Hi guys,

Any accountants here? Can help me?

Let's say the company's financial year end is every 31 Dec

If ppl say YA11 - does it mean it relates to financial year 31 Dec 2010 in Singapore?

Please confirm with me also, if ppl say YA11 in Malaysia, it means it relates to financial year of 31 Dec 2011 in Malaysia?

Is that so? thanks. Bcos I feel quite confuse sometimes between the year of assessment of SG and MY.

QUOTE(Mackiddo @ Jul 14 2011, 10:41 AM)
It all boils down to where is your work place and where you going to stay in JB. If your work place in Jurong and you stay in places like Tmn Pelangi in JB, it's actually nearer that traveling to Sengkang or Punggol. Another factor is the traveling time, shift work timing unlikely to encounter jam at checkpoint but office work might.
*
I have rule out the option of staying in JB; I have relatives in SG, so I will have a peace of mind if my wife were to come down together with me. Yes, you are right, based on the working location, it is nearer to actually travel from JB according to my relatives.

QUOTE(rcv86 @ Jul 14 2011, 11:06 AM)
Bro, are you working in FMC Technologies based in Gul Circle, Jurong?
*
Not now; in the future, probably yes but that depends what FMC can offer. Knew anyone from FMC?

QUOTE(crapp0 @ Jul 14 2011, 11:13 AM)
Yes i have come across FMC and their competitors in the field of subsea manifolds and assemblys. I used to do inspections for a competitor of theirs and a large number of employees of this company are ex-fmc staff.
*
Haha, your statement is very disturbing, bro. So did you manage to find out what are their reasons of leaving their previous company? tongue.gif
