To all R60 users just a quick question.
What is your CPU temperature? Mine is 43 and 41 for core 1 and core 2.
Is this normal operating temperature?

well, since you already have the thinkpad utilities installed on your lappy, wouldnt double effort to run NHC as well?

Got that installed too, but find out that the power management thingy is overlapping my thinkpad's one... so got it uninstalled.

today i got 1 dead pixel, n i follow the link but no luck at all.. then suddenly i find this thread
http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/UltraNav

wao actually thts caused by software bug, after restart no more laugh.gif
pity my lcd, pressed darn hard by me

conclusion: if u find ur thinkpad got dead pixel, do not feel sad so fast, it might be the software bug and after restarting it'll be gone, more detail refer to the link above

Ever wonder what brand/model is your ThinkPad keyboard?
I did a little research on the ThinkPad keyboard and I would like to share my discovery with you guys.

It seems that there are 3 keyboard manufacturers, Alps, NMB(very rare) and Chicony.
I have read many reviews that praises both Alps and NMB keyboard.
Sadly not many on Chicony, some like it, some don't. Those who don't are Ex-NMB or Ex-Alps users.

Anyway if you ever wonder how's it feel like to use an Alps or NMB just read the review below ...
Keyboard Maniac Review

I know words alone can't really express how it feels like to use Alps and NMB, but at least it gives us a rough idea.
I am considering getting Alps and NMB (Yes you guess it right, mine is a Chicony), mainly as a backup keyboard, partly for satisfying my curiousity.

You guys probably think I'm mad. (It's just a keyboard, why bother?)

Anyway, those who are as "mad" as me and would like to find out more about their keyboards can refer to the links below.

1. Find out your keyboard FRU number
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss.../partsLookup.vm

2. Key in your model/serial number and do a lookup

3. Scroll down the list and find for your keyboard FRU number. You should see something like the below...

39T7148 39T7178 KEYBOARD FRU YES

4. Go to this page and lookup
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/MIGR-64342.html

Example : 39T7178 corresponds to "Chicony", "English, U.S."

Last words, I hope there are some Alps and NMB here in Malaysia.
Do tell me your experience with an Alps or NMB keyboard.
