Sorry it's September 2005 last year. My mistake.it's there any utilities / tools u recommended for this lappy? about the drainage system on the keyboard, it is COOL!!!! Hey got a question to ask. I have installed CPU Z and my R60 is always running at 997++ Mhz in "Maximum Peformance" configuration. Is this the peak performance of R60 only at 997Mhz, I thought it's suppose to go all the way up to 1.66 Ghz? Or am I missing out some settings? Or is this how core duo behaves? QUOTE(mopete @ Oct 10 2006, 12:11 PM) Z61T heard from my friend Kelly will be out by early/mid December mainly for XMas hype. But come to think of it, do you all really want to get C2D now for RM4000? Santa rosa chipset and 965GM (crestine) will be out next year which can support up to 800Mhz FSB. This post has been edited by Nyxator: Oct 10 2006, 01:45 PM |

QUOTE(Nyxator @ Oct 8 2006, 08:59 PM) Check this out ... Nyxator, really thanks for the review and great info especially the drainage system, thts really cool http://www.lenovoblogs.com/design/design-i...r-on-the-brain/ Notice for first time R60 user : 1. When upgrading RAM, never use force to pull the armrest out, shake it left and right to loosen it from the front latch. You can also use your finger nail. Slide your finger nail between the gaps starting from one side to the other. 2. MUST install "Rescue and Recovery", if your unit is the MS-DOS version. You won't want to download/reinstall drivers/applications all over again (unless your office connection is superfast). 3. When there is a power source, best use your ThinkPad without battery. Just plug adapter to notebook (have the battery remove first) connect to power source , switch it on, viola, you are good to go. I do this to increase battery lifespan (don't want to strain it from constant charging). I use battery only when there's no power source. 4. Don't eat AMW Ramadan promotion, it's disgusting. Kidding, you can ignore this. mine inner part was greyish metal, it looks dirty too, but doesnt looks brown, i may take a pic when i got my digicam next time and i'll contribute the complete driver list next week when i'm back to kl, we do not the Realtek HD audio, just a patch file from microsoft QUOTE(Nyxator @ Oct 9 2006, 05:04 PM) Sorry it's September 2005 last year. Nope there's no difference in terms of performance.such as 1GB ram goes to the lower slot and 256MB ram goes to the higher slot.... But I would suggest you to put the 1GB at the bottom. So that in the future if you decide to replace the 256 RAM with say 1GB RAM, you could do it with ease. |
